That's all that needs to be said here.
We can try to compare Bo to Tom Osborne and all this shit.........it's pointless........you can't compare a 9-3 season to another 9-3 season when one was a team that lost games not being competitive and the other was a team losing games while at least being competitive.
This is as plain and simple as it gets, Bo Pelini needs to find a way to get his team to be more competitive. Saying we just can't be physical enough right now is a piss poor excuse. We were more physical than a Michigan State team who was more physical than the same Michigan team that was way more physical than us on Saturday. It happens when you don't get your team ready to go.
We didn't come to play. We didn't execute. We were not focused. We turned the ball over. We couldn't convert a first down. We had the ball for 18 minutes and they had the ball for 42 minutes. Everything we did sucked.
They out-coached us, out-smarted us, out-physicaled (is that a word?) us, out-everythinged us.
Nebraska could have won that game. That is bullshit to say we just don't have the guys to be compete with their physical level of play.
I don't ever want to lose, but if we're going to lose, don't get absolutely pummeled by a team that's no better than you are. No more excuses. Bo Pelini is not on the hot seat, but if Bo Pelini doesn't think that something needs to change, then he is just going to keep getting the same results. It's about preparation, mentally and physically, and we weren't prepared Saturday. End of story.
