Bama's still got a shot. I like us in every game except aTm. Georgia and LSUs styles play right into our defenses hands and Im confident we will win those games.

I dunno, Brah...I think Georgia's gonna hang at least as much on you as Ole Miss did.

ROLL TIDE!!! BAMA GONA BEAT TENNESSEE 77-0!!!!

Wow, I feel better already.
That's the spirit! Though, Bama faces ULM (remember the P40s), UGA, Arky, and TAMU before the Vols come a callin'. Focus on the next game, coaches always say. One game at a time...

Alabama's run is impossible to keep up for an extended period of time. It just is. Sometimes its complacency (I doubt that with a Saban run program), sometimes you lose all your good assistants, and sometimes players just don't develop the way you thought they would.

In reality, the college football world has much more parity than the media would have you believe. On any given day any of the top 15+ schools in the country can knock off another.

Look, Saban's well known for the ability to keep his teams focused and hungry. But nobody can sustain that much focus for that long. Saban points to players losing focus on draft status, etc. Well WTF did he expect. His recruiting classes by and large have consisted of all the spoils. Top class after top class, and its probably ALL guys that are there for football and football only. Like an entire class of Cardale Jonees. Great, its the lifeblood of the program and all, but that comes with consequences, and a bunch of guys believing their own press from HS all the way through, that's a lot of egos to keep in check, I am not sure anyone, even Saban can do it. The miracle is that he's been able to do it for as long as he has. IMO, USC is a good case study as to this phenomenon as well. Entire classes of nothing but 4-5* players, with college a means to an end. A lot of them come in expecting to only be there 3 years now, they act as though they've already arrived. It usually costs them 1-2 games a year, and that's why one can say that USC's run up through getting hit with sanctions was actually an "underacheivement."

Not to upset your apple cart @jjc2009, but USCw has been, is, and always will be a campus full of navel gazers.

Bammers aren't right in the head (special kind of twisted, neither Fruedian nor Jungian psychiatry applies), but it's not from focusing on their navels.

You cannot equate them; they're not just different species, they're different genera.

Which strikes me as incredibly odd, given that isn't DB's Saban's specialty, given his coaching history?
I would say, given Saban's history, being a DB is his specialty.

This thread can suck my big meaty clackers! We had some turnovers, we lost a game because of it. That shit happens. I am still of the opinion that if we hold onto the football, we can win out and still make the playoffs if the right teams lose.

UGA is the next test, and I feel like Bama will pass that one. Chubb is great, but Bama will contain him. We will see I reckon.

Yeah I don't think its time to throw in the towel !!! Saban will tighten them guys up over the next couple of weeks and right the ship. He will use the loss to Ole Miss as a motivator for the team. Plenty of football left to play....

"A Cajun man fell in love with the girl of his dreams. They were perfect for each other, except for one minor problem: He was an LSU Tiger fan and she was a Florida Gators fan. He decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and become a Gator fan.

He went to a doctor and asked if there was an easy way to do this medically. The doctor replied, "Yes, it's a very simple procedure. What we do is go in and remove half your brain. When you wake up, you will be a Florida Gators fan."

The Cajun man agrees, and the next week goes into surgery. After he wakes up the doctor comes up to him concerned. "Sir, I apologize, but there was a mix-up with the scalpel. Instead of removing half your brain we removed 3/4 of it. How do you feel?"

The man sat up, looked around, and said
"I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!
ROLL TIDE !!!"

Alabama loses an early game

Everyone panics

They win out and make the playoffs or BCS or whatever

Everyone thinks they're the best program in the past 50 years

Wash, rinse, repeat
