I guess my only real problem with it is that it sets a precedence to have students down on the court to distract FT shooters. I'm not sure I'm on board with that. If other teams begin to do it then someone has to decide where it stops, or how much the students can do. Other than that, I really don't care either way about it.

So did you want to actually talk about it, or are you just trolling again? I'd be interested to know if anyone else has an opinion about having students on the court during FTs. Other than that, I'd be surprised if anyone cares.

BTW I like the fans in Tucson wearing different colors per section. It hurts my eyes and i am sure it distracts the opposing teams as well. Just admit that the complaints are foolish.... man.

I have to say, I did learn something today. I had no idea that ASU was the Fighting Maseratis.

That seems a lot cooler than nerds behind a curtain.

It is noteworthy, I said it would be great to discuss it. My problem is that you fail to realize that few people on here have any idea what the Curtain of Distraction is. You might want to help them out with that in the original post if you are going to allude to it, if you in fact want to discuss it. People have to know what you are talking about in order to talk about it. Otherwise you are just telling people a random comment out of context without the ability to discuss it, or contribute to a discussion. That's called trolling. Did you want to discuss it, or just call AZ babies and losers because of it?

You also say that AZ fans are complaining about it, but again, you don't include the story about the complaints (the news) or summarize it. Where are we supposed to go with any of that?

I included a video about it so at least people have some idea what you are talking about. See how that goes? then Mark (knowing WTF you are talking about), made a comment about his approval, and supported it. See how that goes?

I'm fine with fans showing passion. I have no problem with that. But fans are supposed to be in the stands showing that passion. What happens if Utah State decides they want to make a human pyramid with a guy standing on top right behind the backboard making faces? How far does it go? I think you open a can of worms because you allow fans out onto the floor. THere are plenty of ways to get into people's heads or be passionate from the massive student section behind the basket. I would have a problem with it if AZ did it. That being said, I don't think it makes as much of an impact as it's built up to be, which makes it a gimmick. At best, it only changes a couple FTs, and only in the 2nd half. You guys act like it's some magical secret weapon. Congratulations on your MVP being able to prevent two extra points on defense. You can still have that impact from the stands. Student sections accomplish that quite frequently.

You conveniently left any mention of ESPN out, in your post here. How the fuck are people supposed to know that three weeks ago, espn ran a 3 minute video about it and a 200 word article on it, unless you post a link? Do you really expect people to be so enthralled from your post here to go and look it up? What about your main point that AZ fans are complaining about it? Do you have a link or something that notes their complaints? Are we supposed to go and look that up too? Usually, when people start a thread on here, they give a little run down of the situation they want to discuss, and then post a link that explains it better. That way, people can see the facts of the report, in order to discuss it. Look at other threads on this board.

"P12 wants to make freshmen ineligible." With it is a little outline or analysis, and the link, so people can read about it, understand it, and then form their own opinion. There are many other examples around SportsHoopla, because it's a pretty standard practice of discussion courtesy.

It would be like me starting a thread on the Political Forum that only stated, "I didn't like what Obama said in his press conference from 2:31 until 7:16. If you are going to talk about the military do it to the correct audience!" No one has any idea what was said to whom, let alone know how to feel about it. All you have mentioned is Obama and speaking to the military. Throw them a fucking bone, man!
