Kelenic has looked good in left tonight. Showing a better arm than I thought he had.
That was a pretty solid catch and throw. Not quite the highlight that Jrod had, but still pretty good.

Looking forward to the Astros trying their luck against Brash's slider tomorrow. Altuve for one is susceptible to that sweeper just like Beltre used to be.

His throw to 3rd early in the game made that play much closer than most would too.

Tomorrow's game should be at least 15 degrees warmer than tonight. See if it helps heat up those bats at all.

Pena is a big kid, holy shit.
Ya now we all know why they let Correa walk. Pena is just solid in build and in talent. Those shoulders and back muscles...wow!

No clue who he is.

Graduat of Shoreline (WA) High School and pitched for College of Southern Idaho and Everett CC. He’ll be added to the open 40-man spot with Mitch Haniger on the COVID IL

I have some friends who played at Everett CC. Always a lot of talent there.

I'd wonder if I played against him at Shoreline if I could come to terms with how old I am these days. I may have pitched against Steven Souza Jr a year or two.

So you helped get Souza on the map? LOL!!!

Not as much as some others I'm sure. Only HR I ever gave up was to this kid at Jackson who was probably also on their Oline. He went oppo on me and I tipped my hat. Felt like facing Frank Thomas.

My best game was shutting out the reigning state champion Shorewood team. Now I'm sure I have rotator cuff damage, but worth it.

They need something to 'heat' them up.

We only have 3 guys in the lineup batting over the Mendoza line.
Mariners are #25 worst team batting avg ( only 5 teams worse I think )

It's 2022 and important players are still missing games because they won't get vaccinated. Baseball players really are the dumbest athletes.
I had both vax and a booster and I still got the AB.2 variant. I thinkthe players testing positive now have probably been vaccinated. CoVid has been around for almost 2.5 years now. Can't imagine an unvaccinated player just now getting CoVid for the first time.

Munoz giving up that hit to Brantley aside, he has really impressed me.

Now that I've said that, he'll blow the lead.

Not trying to make this a COVID conversation, but...

Since the pandemic struck, I've had to go to work every single business day of the pandemic meeting with clients every single day, I don't wear a mask unless clients are in my office, I've gone to Vegas, SF, Phoenix, San Diego, D.C., NYC (2x), Tampa, Austin and Chicago, had the one dose J&J back in May of 2021 and haven't been sick a single time unless I was asymptomatic.

Ironically I've had friends who have been boosted and still got the virus, so given that fact and my experience, I can understand why someone wouldn't bother getting the vaccine. I only got it because not getting it would've impaired my ability to attend sporting events and go to bars.

2 out of 3 against the Astros with the only loss to Verlander, I'll take that every time. Nice to see the M's being the ones beating the Astros around a bit for a change.

Solid series. Couple more at home before the next road trip. Lots of time to get some things fixed and see a few guys hopefully top .200 lulz.

5-5 after 10 games. But more importantly, it was who their opponents were. MINN, CHW, HOU are very tough opps this early in the season. I’ll definitely take that 5-5!!

Brash was an absolute stud today, very impressive.

Yea he looks pretty damn good.

I love how he is just wild enough to keep the hitters from diving into the pitch how they get so used to doing.

Brash OWNS the inside corner against righties and lefties have that big sweeping slider bustin' in on their hands ... good stuff !!

Just started watching, but know they won so I will skip around. Great series though getting shutout yesterday was a damper.
