I did not envisioned getting swept in the midst of a 14 games winning streak. I knew this series was going to be rough and where the streak ends and was hoping to get 2 of 3 as the very best. Not 0-3.

Not even in the same tier as these Astros.

How many games this year have not included either Toro or Moore in the lineup? My guess is not many. And most that didn't also had some other scrub < .200 placeholder.

We are still a couple of weeks from Haniger's return (lol, as if that's anything special at this point) and now they are talking about Jrod going on IR (shake my motherfucking head)

It's not that we aren't in the same tier, it's this fucking curse that never seems to have any ending.

It appears to be illegal for us to have a <.200 free lineup.

I dont think I have been more largely indifferent or glass half full about a sweep ever.

The reality is these things are true.
-The Mariners are not as good as the Astros
-The Mariners position regarding the WC and the rest of the season remained largely unchanged.

Really sucks that we could not at least grab a game this weekend, especially since they had largely played the Astros well this season before the weekend. However after winning 14 in a row and vaulting into a playoff spot by a couple of games, Ill cut them some slack. The key is dont let a bad 3 game stretch become a bad 10-15 game stretch. Just take 2/3 vs Texas and I largely wont care. However if they dont Ill allow myself to go back to my pessimistic way.

Really just playing a little above .500 the rest of the way should keep them in it
