Resident Libertarian
I read it...having a hard time with it...really am...
Here's what he said:
“The Boston bombing provided the opportunity for the government to turn what should have been a police investigation into a military-style occupation of an American city,” according to Paul.
What I am personally struggling with, at what point can the government legally claim an end to civil liberties in the name a security? It's a slippery slope that i think we all can agree that there is an appropriate usage of that authority...but at what point? At what point is Paul right and we truly are living in a police state?
Tough questions...
