Well, things didn't work out quite like you hoped, b ut here's to your vacation being both enjoyable and refreshing. Especially refreshing if Monday's game was an indication of what's in store for the season.

Shark has been spot on regarding the D though. That was an ugly performance by them. 150 yards rushing, 450 total yards. Can't win many that way.

OK... so IM back. :D

Thought on the game.

First I will say it was slightly less painful to watch as I had spent most of the day Monday on a beach doing local rum shots in the Bahamas. So by game time I was pretty much already prepared for what i expected to see.

As I figured we could not stop the run, and aside from late in the game when it was well out of hand, we couldnt run the ball for squat. While alot of people have commented Kirk looked rusty, what Im seeing is a guy trying to prove he is worthy of being a starter, and thus he is rushing his throws, making poor reads, and generally what you would expect from a guy who isnt quite as comfortable in his role as he has been letting on. Add that to no run game for 3/4 of the game, and we got just about exactly what I expected.

Slide two... Joe Barry is who I thought he was, he coached scared for the majority of the game, and one Breeland got torched for the first AB TD, there was no logical reason to not have Norman shado w Brown AND give both help... well except that we couldnt stop the run if it was my 102 year old grandmother running the ball.

All in all, I expect we will get embarrassed by Dallas this week as we again wont be able to stop the run, and if Barry insists on having Norman play one side of the field, they will simply put Dez against Breeland, and force us to put eight in the box to fail to stop the run.

Welcome to another year of exciting redskins Football ladies and Gents.

Yeah, the Dallas game is scaring me now. Not that Prescott played terrible against the Giants, but the play calling seemed to hold him back. No doubt he's gonna want to redeem himself Sunday. The Dallas staff still might hold him back passing-wise, but given the shitty tackling of the Skins defense he might get the green light to run and run wild on us.

Dez will want to redeem himself as well. If we play defense like we did last Monday and do nothing to offset our weak pass rush with no blitzing. It could be a long day for a right side, in the slot or maybe left side CB.

After being called the best OL in football by some during the preseason. The Cowboys OL looked very ordinary against the Giants. They will want to redeem themselves.

Same for Elliot far as wanting to show he's not a 2.6 yards per carry RB.

Then there's the Alf factor. Think he doesn't wanna have a huge game against his old team and a HC that never gave him a half-ass decent chance to keep his starting RB gig?

The scariest thing though.....the Skins are the kinda team opposing teams want to see next on the schedule. When that team needs an opponent that will to help them feel good about themselves again and get back on the right track.

The only saving grace I see is Dallas ain't really shit and like the Skins. They're a team you wanna see if you need an opponent to help you feel about yourself.

If I remember correctly Ben was getting it out of his hand quickly, even when it was rolled back to him. Still it is a toss up game in my mind. If the Skins continue to farkup field position and continue to commit drive killing penalties it could be a long game.
