UNM and AZ used to be heated rivals. But UNM had a guy run the clock with some shadiness and Lute discontinued the rivalry. The Pit is a very hostel environment. UNM is like the little brother of AZ and UCLA in the west (I'll even throw UNLV in there), like SDSU and Gonzaga. But since AZ moved to the Pac and the two teams don't play anymore, it has died down a bit (except to those of use old enough to remember the rivalry.

i know. but to be a basketball power you have to get the sweet 16 more than like once in 30 years

Even if they have a bad shooting game Tsz??, Gordon and Ashley will just play volleyball with the backboard til they get the put back.

be easy on john, he just started watching college basketball last year. they were a 3 seed in the tourney, remember! that means they must be a power, because rankings and seeds are more important than watching a team actually play!

Yeah but you are shooting 55% so the offensive boards are not even there as much.

The easy lobs and down low points are incredible though. If Johnson and York are off some game there are other options.

... but if you want to just go by how high they are ranked as being the be-all-end-all to how good the team is? By all means, more power to ya friend.

The bold was my point all along.

A sense of wellness is garnered by many factors, not by just an eye test or an educated eye. Having the knowledge of who you beat, the type of comebacks you've won, the teams you've beat, the defense you have the growth in tenure under your newer system, never losing to date this year and the 'educated eye' are all contributors to this sense of wellness IMO.

Good luck on the year! As I said before the game started, it's too bad the loser in this one wont get a chance at redemption this year in the regular season. It's looking a lot like it will be the Bruins unless a lot changes from now till games end.

agreed. although york hasn't played like this since about game 4 in the nonconference. Rondae has had one of his worst games, same with Ashley. When we play our best, 1-7, nobody, not even MSU, can match up
