I know what he said and I have heard it said 100 times. Usually the discussion is related to the NBA being mostly African American and the NFL a higher % than baseball or hockey. It's the same conversation that takes place when guys in the NBA are called thugs by someone who brings up baseball and hockey as a comparison. I'm not even saying it's not accurate. Here's a thought. Why not go by what he actually said instead of trying to interpret what you think he meant? He said nothing that had to do with race, he was comparing this with other sports. "Ethical" and "Racial" are 2 totally different words with totally different meanings.

There is a difference between throwing fists and using a weapon. I'm pretty sure most Hockey players would be outraged if a player took off his helmet and started wacking a guy.

Those little plastic helmets in hockey? Nah. They've got a big stick and sharp blades at their disposal, if they intend to to real harm and use their helmet in hockey, they'd be a laughing stock.

And for the most part the whole NHL which isn't a bad thing. Whereas fights used to be part of the want people had to go to an NHL game and now it isn't as much.

Hockey fight statistics - it is trending downward pretty significant in the last 20 years.
