Are you seeing anything at QB giving hope for future.

How do you guys feeling about our young QB. It's a rough start for sure. Bad staff and system too. (My question is do you see anything at QB making you feel better about our future with Fields.)

My feelings... I think Fields can be a good QB but it will take about 3 years to happen. New coach and system to learn next year too.

He is a tremendous athlete, but right now, that is about it. If they can fix that godawful windup, get him to read defenses pre and post snap and get him to trust his reads and receivers, then maybe, but that is basically EVERYTHING. He needs to get much better at EVERYTHING.

As you would expect from any rookie QB. Speed of play, toss that in there as well. Very few, perhaps only a handful in the 50+ years of watching the NFL have had QB's step right in from college and be ready.

Fields is showing moments of really good QB play. Not enough, as pointed out, but certainly enough to see that he has the ability to be special. That throw into the end zone was amazing yesterday, as an example.

It was an incredible throw. He is an athletic specimen. Arguably the best athlete on the field in any given game.

He’s got a long way to go before I believe….but cautiously optimistic.

We will see next year. He looks better than Mitch did at this stage and Mitch had his best season in year #2 with a new staff.

He's clearly a bit more raw than we thought. His mechanics have to be honed and shortened up. The game did seem to slow down for him a bit vs SF in terms of seeing the field, which is good. Better protection than he got vs TB helped, obviously.

But... I still like him and have hopes he can be a good QB in this league for years to come.

Yeah, but we all know he was an athlete. That was beautiful to see and exciting as hell. However, it didn't do much in terms of proving himself to me. How he develops in the pocket as a passer is much more important.

We will see how he does next year. We have seen flashes, but we wont know what we have until he has had an off-season to build on his weaknesses and a few games to demonstrate it on the field. I just hope Fields learned a lot in such a bad offense and Nagy is replaced by someone who can call plays based on the personnel on the field.

He's getting better every week. He's still not close to what his capabilities are, but you can see the improvement each week, at least of late that is.

Ya he should protect himself better. There is no reason to take big hits in meaningless games.

Y'all just might have a QB. I hope the current regime doesn't F it up. He's grown a lot since his first couple starts, just don't expect too much too fast as he'll still suffer some growing pains
