I was hoping that Napier would be the long-term solution at that position.

Maybe with time?

Yeah, I think he'll be fine with some minutes and an off season to work on his game. I haven't seen too many Heat games and the one's that I have seen, he wasn't used a lot. It looks like the Heat may be trying to bring him along slowly, which is smart.

We need to get rid of Cole, bring in a real PG, and make Chalmers to backup SG again

I think with post CBA emphasis on having low cost youth on roster that guys like Napier deserve time to play in d league

BKS in reflection I agree Lebron screwed u guys. You got nothing for him and he could have made his intentions faster.

Outlaw, grab a mirror, your bottom feeding now. Unless Lebron decides to shift again out west you will have time to enjoy that ride.

Never said the Lakers weren't, I said Celtics fans are used to it. It's not such a big deal to you guys.

Here's my thoughts on Miami. Wade turns 33 this month. 2 more seasons when the huge free agency hits again, he will turn 35 that season. We can argue whether his knees are good/bad ...doesn't matter 35 in the NBA is old. The window is closing on Wade. Miami is a bad team. Bosh/Wade/Deng and little else. Granger is okay as a back up. But Chalmers/Cole/Haslem are below average NBA players. Haslem honestly should no longer be in the NBA.

Unless LeBron comes back, we are finished for the time being. Miami needs a couple down years to get younger and better. I do like what Whiteside has been doing. I don't really think we are at a crossroad. I fear we already took that turn to mediocrity.

So true immortal

What killed us especially was not going all in on that 90s rebuild and having a stupid owner

To be fair, you guys didn't just have bad luck with a couple picks, you had tragic luck with franchise type players.

While the C's definitely made some mistakes over the years, who knows where the C's are at today if Len Bias and Reggie Lewis hadn't died? You'd have had Bias leading the way through the late 80's to mid-90's and Lewis into the 00's. They even would have been playing together for a few years in the 90's.

Would have been interesting to see what happened to MJ's Bulls if the C's had those 2 playing together.

The late 80s and early 90s was horrible stuff Trojan. What Gaston then did made any chances of recovering those set backs impossible.

I do wonder how good Lewis could have been.

Yeah, I remember that. All of the Lakers fans that I knew felt bad for the Celtics. We can hate each others teams, but there is always mutual respect.

When I think about what the Celtics could have been with Bias and Lewis playing together, wow. Sure would have been something to see. I think some of the mistakes that were made, would not have been.

Miami dominated the Clippers today.

Whiteside seems to be a steal from the d league.

*looks around for Mecca. Doesn't see her*

NICE!!

:bawling:

The Clippers have no happy medium.

They are either really good * vs, Dallas * or really bad * vs Atlanta, Toronto, Heat and every other playoff caliber Team*

It's sad. But, so.....:L

They manage to play quite well against my Lakers.:L

I'm not saying the Lakers are playoff contenders or anything, but they've played the playoff contenders fairly close (even beaten a couple). But the Clips just kick their ass.

If by next fall they don't look better id say trade bosh for assets. Of course , maybe Durant wants to go to Miami and pull big three 2.0?

The plan is based now on one or two people deciding its Miami for the last part of that career as a free agent. I think that a dangerous plan

Bosh isn't going anywhere. For the 20th time Miami goal is not to be competing for a title by next season

Also not everyone is Boston and want to suck for 10 years by trading their top players for future draft picks

I don't know if that is necessarily a good thing.

He eats up a ton of cap space until 2020 and he turns 31 in about a month.

He is an interesting case. I cannot quite make up my mind what to think about that contract.

There is a positive spin and a negative spin.

The contract is definitely a good thing. Not even close. Without that contract Bosh is in Houston right now and Miami is fighting the Knicks for lotto balls. The contract wont be a problem moving forward for two reasons 1) NBA salary cap likely to go up soon 2) Bosh's game should age well.

I agree Flauge, it's a valuable asset if they moved it in next season or season and a half.

I should have said he isn't going anywhere in the next 2 years.

Pat isn't expecting a title in the next 2 seasons. He's not going to move Bosh for some future draft pick in 2021. If he move Bosh it will be for proven NBA players and more than likely this move will take place at the earliest in 2016
