Obviously the Lions suck but they have a surprisingly strong week 1 W/L record. On the flip side Truby is 4-0 vs them. On the flip side of that Foles may get the start and Patricia is I believe 3-0 vs him.

Are the Lions due for a win against us week 1?

If Stafford is lined up behind center, then the Lions will be tough, especially on opening day and (possibly, not likely) in front of a boisterous home crowd.

Road divisional games are tough, though. As I suspect the Lions might be. More than people think, at least.

If we drop that game - people will be in an uproar about "THE LIONS!?". In reality, that team was tough before the impossible amount of injuries hit, though. They might not be bad.

On the flip-side, our pass rush should be devastating and could beat up on Stafford. Their line lost a key piece and wasn't great to begin with.

God I hope not...I don't want another multi page discussion about the first game's importance...and the anger spew will most definitely be flying if we lose. It would be nice to come out with a dub to erase the bad taste 2019 gave us. Please Bears.

There's not many better opponents we could ask for in week 1 than the Lions. I wouldn't expect it to a cakewalk or anything but we've owned them the last few years. So long as the defense is what we expect it to be and the offense isn't a dumpster fire then we should get a win.

This will probably be another tough game, as they always seem to be with the Lions and Bears, but against a healthy, fresh Bears D that has arguably improved in the off-season... I really don't see the Lions winning this one.
