The guy is just a stud! He had another masterful performance today against the angels surrendering, once again, ZERO runs! He is currently 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA. How can you not think about having this guy in your rotation to start the year. With arroyo injured, it could possibly open the door for Bradley to see a start or two.

It's all about team control of a possible future ace. If you put him in the rotation to start the season, you only get 5 years of team control(super 2 + 3 arb). If you wait till early June, you get 6 years of team control( pre-arb 3 + 3 arb). If you wait till mid July, you get 7 years of team control(pre-arb 4 + 3 arb). The dates may be off since they don't release the dates till after the season starts, but you get the picture.

And it's not like he doesn't have something to work on till then. He still has issues with location & walks. Even though his stuff has been lights out so far, he has still has a 5.7 BB/9 against half MLB talent filled lineups. He has been able to pitch his was out of jams he created by walking batters so far, but that is only in short appearances. If he goes down & pitches in Reno for 3 months against AAAA talent, he will get a chance to perfect his control in the #1 hitters league in the minors.

Unless there is a trade or serious injury to the rotation, I wouldn't plan on seeing him in the rotation till mid season.

As for Arroyo's injury, he will be pitching on Friday. If he were to miss time on the DL, Delgado would likely slide into the rotation & a BP arm would be called up.
