7/19: Archer (FXX) renewed for an 11th season.
You left out a big part. Archer wakes up from the coma in season 11. No more stand alone "dream" seasons!

Archer went into a coma at the end of Archer Vice (shot and face down in a pool).I hadn't watched it in a few years. I tuned in for this last season and they were in Space. WTF?! I watched three episodes and bailed. So space was all a dream?

Archer Dreamland, Danger Island and 1999 are all his dreams.
He'll wake up weak and useless from coma atrophy at the end of 1999.

The show is ambiguous with tech and tropes spanning the 60 through modern day. I think they purposefully don't want us to nail down the setting.Just finished S10.
So the show is set in the 1990s?
I've always been curious about that as all the technology shown always seems to be dated, but I could not pinpoint by how much.
Hopefully, they get back to the show's roots. Dreamland was decent, but the last two were a waste of time.
It’s an indeterminate mix of 1980s, 90s and 00s. The cars are late-1970s/ early 80s, all the Cold War references are old, Archer claims to use Minitel, but there’s also GPS, cell phones and modern pop culture references. The show’s writers admit they keep it pretty loose. At one point, one of the characters asks, “Wait, what time period are we supposed to be in?”Just finished S10.

the chick that played Lana poured me a beer at Stone Brewery while I was out there for Comic Con
I made a comment about how big her hands wereDid you say "danger zone," while she poured? I'm sure she doesn't hear it that often.
Lana's voice sounds scratchier than it has in the past.Great start to the season imo. This felt like the real Archer show again
It's been decent so far.I don't want to jinx it but I do think it's good again.
Based on how the episode went, I'd say he wasn't plotting anything. Other Barry? You have to watch out for himIt's been decent so far.
I like how they're bringing Barry completely into the fold, though I'm pretty sure he's plotting something.
Season 11 is great. I have nothing else to add.
It's also different, though. The show benefits from time elapsing and characters changing. It's not one of those shows where everyone stays the same age. The audience and show both feel how much time has elapsed with the coma and the events play off that.Archer is back to being Archer, both in the show and in the meta.
