1: I hope he's okay.
2: I hope he was just a by-stander and not involved in some asinine thuggery.

Very high risk player. Just not smart.

(That is nicer than saying he's an idiot.)

Well, if he was involved in some asinine thuggery, at least we have Roby who would likely be ready to take his place.

Well he has been known to let's say, be in and around environments that are very hospitable to potential problems. Let's hope that the injury is not going to keep him off field and that maybe since your like 30 + years old you'll get your shit together and avoid places that can cause you bullet holes. Stupid is as stupid does. :)

Talib continues to make very poor decisions both on and off the field. If he were just a backup player he would likely be gone by now. But there are too many who will say that it wasn't his fault due to his ability on the field. We see a lot of young players who put themselves in the wrong places at the wrong time. Talib is not a young player and at some point we need to stop ignoring his behaviors!

Great player, after looking like he may have put his out of control life stale behind him the last 3 years or so it looks like that isn't the case. I love Talib as a player but he concerns me as a person. At this rate he might be lucky to see age 40.

His rap sheet is huge, from a fist fight at the rookie meetings with Cory Boyd to he and his mother shooting at his sisters ex boyfriend, to getting shot (which obviously he isn't guilty of a crime, but anytime you get shot unless it is random which it isn't, then you aren't doing something right).

He does have that Super Bowl ring doe! :)

What are the gun laws in Texas?

Plaxico spent two years in prison for shooting himself. I know New York is pretty strict with gun laws, any clue in Texas what this could be?

I doubt he had a license to carry with his prior record.

The good news is his previous felon charge was thrown out.

In Texas you are in trouble with the law if you don't have a weapon.

We will find out - need to get Lorenzo Doss ready. ;)

If Talib is in trouble with the law. I would expect us to go after Leon Hall or Antonio Cromartie.

I'm not sure someone is going to say "it wasn't his fault"

Everyone knows when you shoot yourself it is your fault.

But in sports you get multiple chances depending on how good you are. If one team cuts ya the Bengals will sign ya.

I am hoping to get one more great year out of Talib and then moving on. When we signed him to his contract I think we sorta expected 3 maybe 4 years of that in a Bronco uniform based on age and the way the contract was set up. We have a great CB in Roby who is ready to start as the hope is to find that next great 3rd CB next off-season and get one more great year out of Talib.

At one point with his first year with NE and his year with Denver it looked like he was finally focused and figuring it out off the field.

I think this is just the life Talib lives and you aren't going to change his ways as someone else mentioned at his age the immature issues should be well past you. I mean we aren't talking about a few OWI's a few stupid choices like Perrish Cox made in college coming out which dropped him. We are talking about a guy who is making poor choices that could result in being locked up for a long time or even dead. We saw Chris Henry live this kind of life and look where he ended up.

I pray this man figures it out fast.

You'd think after having a felony charge dropped for shooting at your sisters ex bf with your mother it might wake ya up a bit when you looked at the bigger picture, but lets keep in mind the people around him who are enabling him or not stopping him from doing stupid things. His own mother and his own brother.. That aint good! I know when I did stupid things my parents were always the first to guide me in a different direction, not enable my behavior. (Not that I did anything bad, but just saying.. Don't want yall thinking I shot at people) ;)

At this point as good of a player as he is and as much as I like having him on our team and I don't think it's time to part ways with him just yet, I do fear that something is going to happen to the guy if he doesn't change something very soon.

This is about way more than football for Mr. Talib now. He's gotta figure things out to stay our of prison and or the funeral home at this point. He is living a wreckless life.

The face masks, the eye poking, fine whatever. You have a temper, but he's doing too much dumb shiat that I fear the guy may not make it to 40.
