I will say what I think and believe. I did not just start posting in the CFB forum. It's why I originally joined and what I did on ESPN. I have always lived and breathed college football.

I have always liked Brent Musberger. I think he's currently the best around for college football. Not as good as old Keith Jackson, but better than Chris Schenkel who announced before Keith.

I won't lie. I definitely applauded when I heard about his new assignment. I damn near cheered when I found out he was taking the fucking moron Palmer with him.

He was an announcer in the 1950's for the New York Football Giants. There were no national announcers back then, so if the Giants were on tv, then Chris was your man. Later on, in the 60's, Chris and Bud Wilkinson were the announcers for college football on tv. Since there was usually only 1 game televised each week, they were the only announcers. Chris was eventually replaced by Keith Jackson.
