That's where I'm at. He had about 2 yards of space when he caught it and didn't call a fair catch. Bad decision that'll get your fucking head knocked off but I don't think it should have been penalized. It would have impossible to not hit him high at that point imo.

The target penalty doesn't bother me so much. It was one of those that was almost unavoidable. I just think the ejection rule needs to change. It was obvious he was trying a clean tackle.

Yeah, but unless the dude's knee is fully down, he's still live, and when you're running at combat-speed, can be difficult to see if it's fully on the ground or not.

By rule, you're right - it's targeting.

Just think it's a garbage rule.

I can't go back and watch the play again, but I don't recall seeing him striking with the crown. I meant lowering your head as in being lower to the ground, not looking towards the ground.
