im not that surprised that we dropped, i figured LSU and FSU would jump us. i am kind of shocked that UGA is ahead of us after a loss.

Washington was really impressive.

I was also impressed with LSU, particularly their offense. They may be the team to beat in the SEC this yr.

Well, Georgia certainly looked better than your Gators did. Maybe that has something to do with it.:noidea:

Can't expect them to drop too much, they did lose to a top ten (now top five) team, plus, they need to stay sexy enough to sell the Carolina game this saddidy.

Agree. If you simply ranked teams based on their week 1 play in a vacuum, I would have Washington #1

1. that's debatable
2. you didn't see the UF game so you don't know that, they looked much improved on offense and their D is as stout as ever

I suppose a shutout or running the score up a bit would have prevented the Irish from falling?

GT moves up to #35......

Next game is Duke. With any luck, we may even crack the top 25 before we get into the harder games on our schedule and drop right back out again.

I didn't see it? It was on an over the air local channel here in Boise and I watched most of it. Toledo is a decent team but Florida had no business letting them hang around like that.

Yeah, if you did ranks on most impressive wins/teams...

Clemson, Washington, LSU are top 3.

NOTE: Those are not and should not be my rankings. Just basing an opinion off of most impressive (eyeball test) teams that won in an impressive fashion.

Yet some co-called sports "experts" were picking Toledo to win...

No clue. I think a lot of pollsters kept them high based on last season, and intend to drop them after a few losses, anyway. Lackluster show against a D-1-AA equivalent league member, no Manti to blow, and Kelly making himself look like even more of an ass with his "not a real rivalry" comment all combined to turn the media against them early.
