Not to spoil it for you Matty, but when a guy is supposed to wire $17 million and he wires $1700 and then claims "oh they made a mistake in the wire transmission", at that point, you gotta know the guy is full of crap. He must have been quite the charmer.

lol - That didn't take long (almost as long as Spano owned the Isles)
i watched it
fucking awesome
Very dark days as a fan. Things didn't get better when Milstein & Gluckstern took over either. We're talking 18M payroll here. How nobody had any clue Spano was full of crap is beyond me. It was an utter failure by Pickett & the League. Made for good copy & TV though.
Any truth to the rumo(u)r that they were often referred to as Morgankrantz and Guildenstern?
Actually, it was interesting to hear that the one "good" thing that Spano did when he owned the Isles was the negotiation of the Cablevision contract. That tv contract was likely the one item that kept the Isles on Long Island.
Mike Milbury sure made that episode amusing. Hard to believe that the Isles arena was raining inside that many decades ago and they're STILL a couple years away from a new arena.
Amusing? Try terrifying. How would you feel if your team was being run completely by Milbury?
As the credits were closing, they said that Spano spent 71 months in jail for fraud related to the Isles purchase and after his release from prison, he moved to Ohio and opened up a leasing company. He was convicted of fraud again and spent another 4 years in prison
