The Detroit Lions are in the middle of a football season. Just thought I'd mention that.

The Lions are 7-2 :suds: . The way it looks if the Lions continue their winning ways they could win the division and possibly make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. I dont want to jinx them with to much praise, so I will be quiet now.

Most want to forget the Lions of the past. This year's Lions are not the Lions of the past though.

They are slowly, but surely, turning me into a believer. Not to be confused with a Belieber.

I got love for Caldwell, keeps this up he has to be in serious consideration for Coach of the year. But who I really love is Teryl Austin. This man is beyond awesome with what he has done!

Not sure how far we will go, but I will take it 1 week at a time. Now that Shwartz and company are gone, this organization can begin to move forward and get better. The jury is still out on Mayhew, but anyone questioning his hire of Caldwell needs to have their head examined at this point.

Caldwell is growing on me, but the best hire the Lions made was bringing in Teryl Austin. What he has done with the defense is nothing short of extraordinary.

Without our defense this year playing like it has -- Detroit would be looking at another lottery pick, IMO. I never thought I would be saying that before the season started.

Never was pissed... Was not huge on Caldwell at the time. I do like the hire now and the hires he made.

The biggest Wiz supporter is no longer hanging out.

Agree, for the first time in a decade I see a relatively disciplined team whose coaching staff makes useful in-game adjustments.

I still think the Packers beat us in week 17 to win the division. That means the wild card race is between us and the East and West runner-ups. Currently the Cowboys and Seahawks. I believe Seattle will overtake Arizona with Palmer out. If that were to happen, this game would be very important in the wild card race.

The 49ers, with Willis out, adds to their problems and IMO they're out of it.

Eagles need to win in GB this weekend. Packers dont have very many tough games yet. The eagles can play with the best of em.

Now that Shwartz and company are gone, this organization can begin to move forward and get better.

Lions have not lost since Schwartz got carried off the field by the Bills... maybe that was a sign, the last vestiges of all that was wrong with the Lions removed and just maybe the curse of Bobby Layne broken.

Good luck to Lions this week... if Packers cannot win SB this year (and with this defense I do not see as likely), I would like to see Lions bring home the trophy.

See you guys in last weekend of the regular season.
