I'm sort of disappointed tbh. Too many teasers of fantastic old clips where they only showed a couple of seconds. Kanye rolling around on the floor and Miley Cyrus as musical guests ? Yikes. Some of it has been good... maybe half if I'm being generous.

I thought they did a good job. Trying to cover 40 years and dozens upon dozens of cast members, hosts and crew can't be easy.

But yeah, coulda done without Kanye.

Nice that Paul Simon finished it out.

Brings back some great memories. Show has more or less sucked for at least 20 years, but those early days were must see TV.

I don't think it really went into the ditch until about 5-8 years ago. Before that you had Will Farrell, Darrell Hammond, Tracy Morgan, Norm MacDonald, Tina Fey & Amy Poehler.... Fallon & Seth Meyers. They did a lot of good work. These days you might get 1 funny skit if you're lucky and I don't usually care for their musical guests these days. Most Saturdays I don't even flip to it to see what's going on.... Kate MacKinnon is funny, but that's about it.

I found it really funny. I just started watching it a couple years ago. I like them doing some of the old material( huge fan of the celebrity jeopardy skits).


They nailed it last night. Would have loved to see a piece with some of"the old presidents" with O"Obama" just to see Darrell Hannah pull off the bill Clinton routine but I got to see celebrity jeopardy so I'm good

those early days were classic. great to bring back those memories. I thought Jeopardy skit was the funniest thing all night.

With all the great musical acts that have appeared on SNL over the years I was very disappointed in the Miley & Kayne selections. I know she sang a Paul Simon tune but I didn't like it. They should have had one act from each decade performer a song. McCartney sounded awful I thought. Paul Simon? Nothing against him but if you're not a certain age you probably have no idea who he is. All in all though that show last night brought back some funny memories. The worst was that dumbass Californian skit.
