Any way to record streaming movies in High Def?

I'm looking to record alot of streaming movies and content so I can just have HBO & netflix etc for just a month or 2 and then cancel. And I just want to have a great movie library.

But there is very little info out there. The video quality has to HD for it to be worth the effort.
I'm willing to invest in some high capacity hard drives to record everything on

Any help would be appreciated.

Its one of the few things I dont do. There are apps out there already that have most everything you can imagine already available to stream.

I would imagine some sort of Plex set up is the most common but I have never tried. You could look into that. I am sure there are Youtube videos out there to show you how.

You need a capture device or card - then you will need to transcode it to a more compressed HDD friendly format.
