Blue, I honestly like that you are sticking to your guns. If you really believe something then you should express it and not care the consequences. Now , Im not saying that I agree with it or anything. I will say that I think Ware's days of being the elite player are probably over but I would have to disagree that we would be better off w/o him.
Its o.k. No worries. I still like most of you guys a lot.

Cowboys cut DB Greenwood whom they just signed off the Lions practice squad 3 weeks ago. What was the point? I wanted to see that guy me our 4th corner.

If every player in Cowboys history were available and in their prime, DWare would start, be it DE or OLB.
As to QB's, beauty is in the eye. To me
Marino
PManning
Montana
Rodgers
Staubach

Not to sure he's a guaranteed starter throughout Cowboys history but imagine him on the 90's defense playing Haleys position.

It would come down to whether you thought he could play OLB in a 4-3. Maybe not the broke down version, but Dware in his 5th year, I think so

In a 4-3? He would be a DE in a 4-3 at any point in his career. You think our current guys are having trouble with TEs, watch DWare try to chase one deep 10 times a game....

I'd go Ware and Martin if you're talking most productive cowboys at getting to the QB

best tandem for me would be Ware and Too Tall

Haley was awesome, but tend to overlook most rent players. No question Haley was as good as them all.

Haley didnt have the sacks with us like Ware...... but he brought leadership... and one hell of a mean streak

I like the mean streaks in the trenches. Either side of the ball!

I would go Ware also. Tough call between Jones and Haley

I would go with Martin and Jones. Now that could easily switch if Ware gat to plat on the other side of either of them. The OL couldn't strickly double team Ware and let Jones or Martin have field days with the QB.

Over guys like Howley or Henderson, I don't think so.

Ed "too tall" Jones would be my number 1. Harvey Martin was way over rated in my opinion. Randy White should be credited with half of Martin's sack's. Randy White was doubled and tripled teamed most of his career freeing up Martin. I'm sort of with Pday on rented players even though Haley was great. Based on success and results, etc., I would have to go with George Andrie.

What? No Willie Towns
Opinions are fine and all but what a disservice to the late, great South Oak's own.....Harvey Martin
Randy White remains my favorite all time but I never saw a tackle go inside on White. Martin always had a back at the second level. I only wish they counted sacks and pressures back in Martin's day

I'm not talking about Ware today playing with 5 different injuries. I'd bet a 25 year old Ware would play as well as Henderson any day. But there's no doubt in my mind DE would be his spot, the best we've ever had, with a serious toss up between Jones, Martin and Haley to start across from him. I'd say Haley

Anyone remember Harvey Martin on the NFL TODAY with Musberger, Phyllis and Irv. He took a huge sucker / lollipop and busted it with his fist and said said welcome to the party Doug- he was referring to Doug Williams of TB at the time. Damn I miss the board with the check marks.

Henderson? You disgrace Howley with having his name along side. Henderson was what? 2/3 years? Dave Edwards was better than Henderson, maybe even Ken Norton Jr, DD Lewis as well. Henderson's time in Dallas was much like Duane Thomas. Great footnotes, not exactly great all time cowboys. Haley and Sanders are more cowboy than those two to me.
