I was going off of the story on The Mouse "Running back DeMarco Murray was injured against Washington as well and likely will be unable to play Sunday against Philadelphia, a source said. Murray suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee."

Since the story says "likely will be unable to play Sunday" I took that as there is the possibility he does play meaning the prognosis is day to day.

PDay's source and word are a whole hell of a lot more exact than what I had.

Appearing on FOX Football Daily, Jay Glazer reported DeMarcus Ware (quad) is only expected to miss one or two games.

Glazer reported that it's not even a certainty Ware misses Week 7 against the Eagles, though the team plans to be more cautious with Ware than DeMarco Murray (MCL). ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the day that Ware will miss 3-4 weeks with the strained quad. It's possible Ware is dealing with just a minor strain. Consider him more week-to-week than "out indefinitely."

Cannot do without Murray, I hope this speculation isn't true or we're going to be in trouble. Randle looked ok, but not impressive. I think we could afford no Ware for a week or so (even though I hope that's not the case)
The defense will be better without Ware.

This is why you are piled on for your anti-Ware comments. Then you back track and throw out a comment like 'all I said was that he is over rated', but we all remember these dumb ones...
The defense would not be better without Caesar Rayford right now and you want to act as if they will be better without Ware?

Back to the topic. Smart money says neither plays this week regardless of what quotes we want to read.

On the DL. If you go back to the end of last year and compare that depth chart to what it was after Hatcher walked off with a bicep (or whatever) problem...was any name the same? Wilbur was the only one I can think of and he wasn't a guarantee to be here. Ware, Spencer, Ratliff, Hatcher, Brent, Crawford, Bass, Lissemore. Maybe Wilbur, maybe not. That is kind of crazy if you think about it.

Crazy is right. This DL must be held together with duct tape.

Injuries are crazy these days in the NFL. I was thinking back to the glory days of the 90s and sure a player may miss a game or 2 , but the only one I can remember missing significant time was Kevin Smith- tore achilles opening night one yr. . Im sure there were others, but it just seems like players get hurt a lot more these days.

they do.
many factors....size, speed, weight training.
these guys are machines

maybe they need a NFL Pop Warner type weight limit instead of gravitating to no helmets

Ha . Im 43 as of a few weeks ago. I remember as a kid my dad used to get a magazine in the mail called football digest. In the back of every magazine was each teams roster. I rememeber the biggest guy in the league was a guy for the Skins named Dave Butz. He weighed 285. That was probably 30 years ago.

Its just my opinion. Deal with it or ignore me.

Over rated or not do you really think we will take you serious when you say the team is better off without Ware? If the DL was 100% healthy it would miss Ware. Now that we have guys who are border line PS guys, how in hell can you say we are better off with a straight face?

It just pisses you off doesn't it. A Fan of the Cowboys that doesn't agree with you and some of the other fellow Cowboy fans in here. Too bad. Its my opinion And the results speak for themselves over the years. Pile up big sack numbers and tackles against shit teams and don't show up in the biggest games when we need him the most. Now he is always hurt the past 3 years. Lets just collect all this money like Ratliff and not play now. I remember Randy White being hurt and having some of the same ailments as Ware. Christ I even remember Randy white playing with a broken arm in a cast in super bowl XIII. Poor Demarcus, a sore shoulder and hang nail. Wow. When I said he was over rated I was trying to be as nice as possible by putting it this way. I took a lot of crap from some, which is fair, and now after this post I will more than likely take a lot more now. so here goes, this is exactly How I feel about Ware. Talent wise, incredible talent. Over paid, imo yes, way over paid. Why, he doesn't deliver in big games. He is a mental whimp, he gets schooled big time by the elite Qb's in this league and I personally wouldn't give him a mop job. I bet he sits down when he takes a piss.

And that right there is the difference between opinion and agenda. No one with any clue about Football (and IMO BJJ does have a clue) can honestly feel we are better off without Ware when the alternative is even more snaps from guys that perhaps don't even belong on an NFL field.

So now you are admitting I was being piled on for an opinion you and others had a difference of opinion on. Thank you.

Yes. The ridiculous opinion was brought up by others here over and over...and rightly so. It was stupid and to say we are better off without him is on a whole other level of stupid. Sandwich time...
