Any concerns heading into Philly,

In my opinion, this game doesn't set up in favor of the Lions. For one, I'm a little concerned about Philly's pace on offense. Will the defense be able to keep up with them. Foles is playing well and Jackson is a problem, especially if Houston is out. Not sure what the weather will be like but we all know the Lions dont play well in bad weather. Plus, Philly is still in the playoff hunt.

Im anxious to see what Foles looks like. I've only seen highlights basically. Shady McCoy scares me as a receiver as much as a running back every week. More so against our Lions. And of course Jackson. I am looking forward to watching what our offense can do. Philly may have the worst pass defense in the league. Maybe my biggest concern is Reggie fumbling. That's always on my mind.

This is going to be a good test for the Lions. This is a high powered smart offense that doesn't turn over the ball. Gauging by thier explosiveness and overall talent on offense philly is as good as any in the NFL. Their defense can be a weakness for them. Just like the lions so theoretically this is going to be a shootout.

Going to boil down mostly to turnovers. Our offense is prone to them and thier isn't. That could spell trouble. We are certainly talented enough to win this, and undisciplined enough to blow it. Big game and would be a big confidence boost for this team.

Arizona was a good win for Philly. I can't see that many good wins from them and if Detroit's front puts pressure on Foles I think Detroit will be fine.

Riley Cooper is the type of receiver that usually goes off against Detroit. If Slay plays as well this week as last I think he can be shut down.

Truth is, the Turnovers are all I can think about lately. How many INT's will Stafford throw and how many times will Bush lay it down? If that number is low I like our chances.

the eagles are playing at a high level right now. the lions will need to avoid the turnovers to have a shot in this one.

I don't think the Eagles will even give the front four an opportunity to get to Foles. The ball comes out pretty fast in this offense and then its back to the line and here it comes again. I'm a little worried about the tempo.

We should be able to score enough. Their pass D sucks and their run D isn't great either. Foles has been on fire, but he's young and inexperienced. I think we should blitz him early & often unless & until he figures it out. McCoy will be a good test for our newly crowned "greatest run D ever". We'll see if that holds up. I think it will be a shootout. Concerns ...giveaways, of course. I'm starting to think that's just who we are but we can't lose the TO battle in this one. 31-27 Lions... i've had this one down as a loss since last summer but I'm not gonna predict that here.

Delmas and the linebackers have to handle McCoy so the front 4 can focus on killing Foles. Stop McCoy and put some pressure on Foles. This will be a typical performance by the Lions D where they give up 2 or 3 huge pass plays. The offense of the Lions should be able to score and just have to keep up with the Eagles.

With all of that said this game might play out totally different. The temperature is going to get cold this weekend. Our strong OL (can't believe I am saying that) could be the difference with Joique running a lot.

I think our O-Line can maul their D-Line. We would be better served running over them instead of trying to throw. The weather is supposed to be cold and rainy. Last thing we want to do is get behind by turning it over early.

A couple of concerns:

1. The Lions have a long, consistent history of following up a dominant home performance where everything goes right with a flat performance on the road. And in fact, it happened following the Lions other dominant home performance this year (Bears, followed by Pack on road).

2. The weather forecast: Snow mixed with sleet/freezing rain, wind chill of 22. Have the Lions ever won a game in such conditions? Well, they had never won in Washington before this season, either. Good time for another first.

This is what concerns me the most. We really don't play well outdoors, especially in shitty weather. However, we have a real O-line now and a somewhat respectable running game. So maybe we lean on this a bit more.
