He’s a good dude, and I wasn’t sure the Chargers would do it, but it had to happen

that can’t be the guy leading what looks like a potentially great QBs career

He beat Lamar Jackson in the playoffs and took a QB that almost no one was high on and had a stellar rookie year.

This is a baffling firing imo. Someone else will hire him and get a good coach. I thought he was clearly the 2nd best Head Coach in the AFCW

Him coaching the Chargers is a decade long headache potentially. The 3rd round picks might be a guard or center I guess if we're lucky.
The Chargers still have a bad owner and a tiny fan base in Los Angeles. I like everyone's chances against that combination, regardless of HC and QB.

Eh

would have stuck with Tyrod Taylor most of the season if healthy

lost so many baffling games this season strictly on his coaching

There is definitely some good with some bad. Chargers just play the Chiefs really well every time we see them. The blueprint the Niners used in the SB was almost identical to what the Chargers were doing with outside runs and bottling up Mahomes.

I could see Lynn's reluctance to move away from Taylor if he was trying to keep his job. Rookie QB gets his numbers and doesn't win games and Lynn gets fired.

I'd be curious to hear some thoughts from some Chargers fans. Do we have any Chargers fans on here?

I'm counting on Daboll being white to keep him in Buffalo.

Josh Allen is the absolute prototype for how a QB should develop in 3 years
I’d want that guy developing my young QB

Eric Bienemy should be their next hire.

And of course I miss understood the ruling. It looks like the Chiefs will get a comp pick.
Yeah, they changed it this year. Even more stupid now. Hell If I’m the redskins I wouldn’t hire a minority from anyone in the east just so they wouldn’t get the picks.

I wonder if they would make a run at Kyle Schottenheimer... Maybe Marty's son can actually win a playoff game there...

That’s a pretty good minority coach to hire

By the way, Daboll and Tom Telesco were at St Francis HS in Buffalo at the same time. They were a couple of years apart but I've heard they maintain an extremely close relationship.

absolutely had to happen. way too many blown leads and late-game collapses over the last 2 seasons, for a team with that much talent. that's purely in-game coaching, or lack thereof.
