Tampa is looking to dump Doug Martin for a mid round pick (in their dreams) but will most likely have to settle for a late round if anything.

Not that we really want Martin, but it suggests Tampa will trade up from their early 2nd round pick to grab a RB. They will be taking Winston with their first.

What would you require from Tampa to trade back with them(with or without Martin)?

If we could pick up the two extra picks(Im not saying 3rd and 4th, but maybe a 4th and 6th) Id support dropping back ten spots.

Im not crazy aboot Doug Martin though.

Their 2nd rounder this year and their 1st rounder next year would get them #23 from us if it were up to me...

I'm not sure on the value chart crap on that one, to be honest. It's costly to move back into the 1st round, though, especially the ten or so spots that Tampa would climb to get our pick...

I gotta wonder how they didn't learn their lesson on Martin, though? They took him in the 1st a few years ago, and he's already broken down... now they're trading up to dip back in that same well? And people think Mayhew is a bad GM?!

Looks like I was aiming high on the old point value chart. This year's 2nd and 3rd rounders would be enough, points-wise, for Tampa to move up to our #23 spot...

I was thinking 3rd and 4th TBH. We could trade the 7th for Martin later if we don't get who we want in the draft. Personally, I don't like Martin either though. Would rather take Coleman with the later second round pick if he is still there.

I was thinking Coleman with the first second rounder. But Im all aboot Coleman, so take that with a grain of salt.

Id think a 2nd, 3rd and 4th is a little much to just move up ten spots. But my 2nd, 4th and 6th could be a little low also.

Do you mean a 3rd and 4th with the 2nd rounder? Otherwise we're getting completely fleeced giving up pick #23 for a 3rd and 4th.

As for Martin, I'd give up a 7th to take a flier on him, but the fact that he's even being shopped tells us he's probably not able to help a team's rushing attack any longer..

Yes of course. That would be the 3rd and 4th to flip 10 spots with their second.

the sweetest pick to have in the draft is that first pick in the 2nd rd. teams have all night to assess their boards and evaluate who fell and who they may really want to go get. You will get best value right there since you will almost certainly have multiple teams interested.

I think you could get the bucs 3rd and be in a sweet spot to trade back a few spots again and get more picks. When I look at what we need based on the offense we want to run you could easily see getting someone like AJ Cann or Tomlinson to fill the opening at G, use our own third to move up from our 2nd rd spot for a guy like Coleman and still have that first pick in the 3rd from the bucs plus whatever else you got for the second trade.

You would even have enough ammo to move up again if you wanted.

Big Blue mentioned the Browns as a good partner to me couple weeks ago. They're loaded with 2nd and 3rd rounders. How they could do the same as the Vikes drafting three times in the first. When you look at the talent projected between 40-96. Even still looking to early 4th round. Still a few kids who could impact the roster. Lions could really help themselves having 5 picks in that range.
Now my one thing I kept saying to him was Mayhew has never traded back in early rounds and only goes up for what he wants. So not sure we are wasting time thinking out these scenarios. Good conversation at least for now and way better than most have been lately here.

As mentioned in another post. That speedy WR may be the Browns target at #23 it what he said I believe.

Browns would be perfect. The extra picks would mean they might be willing to give a little more than they should.
