I know Marco's results were better, but his stuff was not. Little movement, no speed, no deception. His arm is not right.

Dude has a 50% K rate against lefties this year. It was the right move. However, JP is the best hitter against lefties in baseball right now. If he didn't get JP it was going to put them in hot water. Haniger made them pay after JP battled his ass off that at bat.

Those 2 at bats were just fun baseball.

He was still up with some of his stuff, which was the problem. He's never had speed, and he did have some deception. He had a few curveballs and changeups that made for some really bad swings, Ohtani being one of them on 2 occasions.

Marco is a feel guy. When you lose the touch as a finesse pitcher you're going to struggle, but the only way to get it back is to pitch through it.

He needs to get his cutter down and on the edges to make hitters chase the changeup. Get the cutter back and other pitches will fall into place.

I guess I just only had remembered him as a starter earlier in the year when he was walking a lot of guys. Tried him a couple times in fantasy baseball. Regardless he threw some tough pitches in the Crawford AB so that was fun to see

It is really weird timing. But there is only one game left before the break and most teams (at least use to) not do workouts. But it isn’t like Zunino in terms of necessity or the weirdly played out scenario call up of Kelenic.

I don't get it one bit. We have 2 catchers so it isn't by need for the last day. The timing is just odd. So do you send him back after tomorrows game so he isn't sitting around for 5 days?

Impressed with Flexen to night. Wonder how things would have gone if the angels had trout and their other il guys back?

Only thing I can think of is they started experimenting with him at 1B. He kinda started revolving between C, DH and 1B since Torrens got sent down. So my theory is if Seager is out, either France to 3B, move Moore to 3rd and France to 2B then let Torrens and Raleigh play 1B and just Murphy and Raleigh play C. I’ve been on record saying it is dumb and thinking it stunts growth having rookies not playing one definitive position but what ever….

Much like Kelenic plays CF all the way up until his call up.
