My big worry is that with no future contract that DIPoto may go all crazy and try to win now and deal 'the future' for today. A big reason you don't want a lame duck GM.Well, Dipoto's coming up for another extension on his contract. No doubt Stanton will give him at least another 2 years, if not 3 more, and that meams were stuck with Servais inept managing. 6 years later and still no postseason. Not surprised but certainly disappointed. Whatever the hell is going on with Sheffield is nothing but a f'n joke imo.....period!
I saw a stat that said we are 81-81 in our last 162 games. Is that a plus or minus?
Hanigers 1st AB in the 1st inning he looks at 2 tube shot fastballs and the bat never left his shoulder ( mesmerized ) Then he checks swing and foul tips a pitch inside off the plate. 3 pitches and rung up 0-2 count watched a fastball right into the catchers mitt for strike 3. That was with Crawford on 2nd in scoring position ( nobody out ). Ya gotta have a better at bat than that.Yeah. The main problem with the offense is they simply don’t hit mistakes often enough. They can work a count but what good is that if you can’t handle a 2-0 or 3-1 pitch
He rebounded after that Ohtani moonshot nicely. With Sheffield I think a change was needed although I guess the injury forced it. With Marco there’s not much other then he has to just pitch thru whatever he’s going through. Hopefully the last few innings were a startIn total though Marco was better today. Left a few bad pitches in bad spots, but certainly better than he has been lately. If he can take this into the 2nd half and build on it he can massively boost our rotation.
