But the Rangers spend millions every year on medical rehabs and other pitchers at the end of their careers. PIF Fister was signed to a 2 year deal for 8M and the 1st year he earned 3.5M for doing nothing and he's under club option for 4.5M with a buyout of around 750k. Even if they release him the Rangers have paid him4.25M for nothing in return

He is the "medical rehab" pitcher. Butler gave up another HR last night right? I would only pitch him in blow outs and stash him in AAA to work on things

I wouldn't be surprised to see Colon offered a minor league deal if he wants to play another year. It is hard to see them viewing him much differently this coming off season than they did last year after the way he performed this year. If they liked him as a fall back option a year ago then they probably would again if he wants to pitch another year.

Why would Choo want to play for the Reds? He has to approve the deal. I don't think he goes anywhere unless it is to a team that has a really good chance to go to a WS and even that doesn't always excite some guys.

Yes, he vests at the end of this season. That is the reason why I wanted us to trade him by now. We are pretty much stuck with him now.
