I don't have anything against him, my beef is more with the media. Everyone wants to anoint him as the next great quarterback, but can we wait for him to actually do something before we put him in the hall of fame?
I never hear anyone criticize his play, there's always a built in excuse (ie no talent on his team, Wayne is hurt, no running game, etc). Yeah, he has a lot of comeback wins...its easier to come back when you're done 21 points in a game, because the pressure is off. You just throw, throw and throw some more. If you throw a bunch of picks, then it's "he's a gun-slinger, he never gives up", and if he wins the game, then he's the comeback kid.
He's got talent and most likely will be great, but he's not yet, but he gets treated like he is

If the Bengals had Andrew Luck, they would have cake walked over both San Diego and New England. Actually, if Luck was a Bengal, the Bengals would have ended up with a first round bye, so San Diego wouldn't have been a worry. The weapons the Bengals had would have had Luck playing every game with a constant boner.

Nobody is saying that he's ready for the HOF yet, but is this (the 2nd part of your post which I've highlighted) not "doing something"? :noidea:

Most would call it doing something pretty impressive.

Well, there is that caucasian thing......

And my eyes. People here are just repeating what the media mouth breathers say. Luck is average. 2 years is plenty of time to see that.

So you think he's overhyped? Fair enough

Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers are very good QBs imo. I don't think either one is leading that roster to 22 wins over the past two seasons.

I honestly believe Luck elevates his team in a way that only a handful of QBs in the NFL do. Those other players are first ballot HOFers. He's doing this as a young QB

You could be right. We're just have to wait and see.

While he made some horrendous throws yesterday he also made a half dozen unbelievable ones. He will be a stud. A 2nd year QB playing in N.E. when Belicheck has had two weeks to game plan has no shot

The colts tried playing with average/sucky QBs when Peyton was injured, they sucked worse than any team the NFL has ever seen. Enter Luck and they are a playoff team.

He will take them to a superbowl eventually.

Texans
Titans
Jaguars

That's like 5 wins right there a year. While the Texans haven't been as bad as they were this year, they've had some epic collapses, and the Titans are barely average.

Do I need to explain the Jags?

Want to cherry pick more?

He also out played Peyton Manning and beat the Broncos, Chiefs, crushed the 49ers on the road, and beat the Seahawks. You know, 3 of the 4 teams in the conference championship games.

How about getting crushed by the Rams, Cardinals, and Bengals?

Dude, untwist your panties, and calm down.

Goodness, you get up in arms everytime someone disagrees with you.

By the way, I'm not saying Luck is average.

I'm just pointing out, that he does have a rather easy conference road. They went 4-2 last year, and 6-0 this year.

22 wins is impressive. They've beaten some good teams. I'm not disputing that. But, you can easily talk about the fact that 10 of his 22 regular season wins have come against a rather bad AFCS division that doesn't offer much resistance.

By the way, if you look at the stats, Dalton also outplayed Rodgers, Brady, Luck, and Stafford...so, you know, just sayin'. That doesn't always mean something. Calm down, nancy.

Ten years later, and it still gets down to Manning vs Brady for the AFC. I find it very frustrating that nobody has made a real impact yet.
