they can't go back. now that they have decided to start Goff, they need to stick with him not matter what ( except for injury of course ). they don't need to be ruining him mentally by pulling him because of rookie mistakes. that will cause him to overthink while on the field, afraid to make a mistake because he might get benched. they have to stick with him and let him learn. In today's NFL...size matters. but in Tavon's defense he is suffering from the same thing as Gurley...a very weak O-Line.

I don't get the boards obsession with Mannion. He looked good against #3 defenses and players who are now on the streets. That doesn't say a lot to me. I believe he can be better than Keenum, but there's no evidence to suggest he can succeed as a starter.

It seems like that by making him sit halfway through the season and letting the world see Wentz play well has put added pressure on Goff. I'd like to see Goff play but this doesn't make sense to me. the Wentz hype seems to be cooling off a little. Maybe in a few weeks he will play worse and there would be less pressure on Goff. Either way throw him out there with 3-4 games left and the season is shot anyway so that would take a little pressure off.

The coaching staff needs to put him in a position to succeed. Doesn't matter if he's under center or in the gun all day. All that matters is that he progresses, succeeds and helps the team win.

It wouldn't surprise me if Goff has issues under center with fumbles and things like that. Derek Carr had issues his rookie year under center and he's turned out to be an elite QB. If Goff has the same kind of work ethic as the great QB's in the league and works to improve his game, he'll be just fine.

If he looks like a lost kid, you bet they can sit him back down. No need to break the guys spirit if he's clueless or getting hammered.

You know BTR, it's one thing to come on the Rams boards here and call for some BS stats, it's another to back them up with some opinions on why.
