The first thing I usually check is the amount of Friday and Saturday night games. Nothing better than getting a good buzz on, watching the game and not having to get up for work the next morning ( I have to get up earlier the most)

I counted 26 total Fri and Sat. night games for the Pens. None of those with Philly. Just a home-n-home in March which the Sat. game starts at 1:00

I don't know, that schedule seems awfully long compared to what I'm used to. Maybe to compensate for all the extra games, they could cut out a preseason game or two and make the first round of the playoffs best of five (of course, this would include a victoty in the bank game if necessary).

I personally think during Olympic years they should just cut 10 regular season games and distribute any money from that tourney to the teams/players fairly. the players need to understand that you take a cut as a whole if you want to represent in the games.

Ott., Edm., Colo., SJ, Minn, Det, Pitt, Columbus, Ana, Phx (4 weekend games to boot) ... will get a crack at the outdoor game as well.

Waiting for Ana to sell single games so I can get my Pitt tickets for that game too....

I'm not complaining... it will generate more money for the league and in return will result in the cap going up... which is a good thing for the Pens franchise (and many others, but I focus on the Pens)

I just don't think they should overdue it but it's too late for that. Lots of non hockey fans tuned into those games and if they flood the schedule with them they will not pay attention and we lose the chance at getting new fans.
