Would significant injuries to our goalies (maybe any other key players) buy Lombardi and/or Sutter a pass if the Kings miss the playoffs???

I don't think so. Dating back to Andy Murray, he always said injuries are not an excuse to lose, it's an opportuity for other players to step up. Considering the amount of success this team has had the last 5 years overall, I can't see that philosophy changing now.

When Gaborik was injured (sounds like a 45) last year in Jan and didn't return until the POs, Sutter was adamant about saying the other players will need to pick up the slack, not to mention he insinuated Gaborik was not part of the plans in the POs if he returned anyway because he would be so rusty. Of course we are talking about a higher level player here and not a B6 forward who can easily be plugged in/replaced, so he had to play him against SJ and he ended up being right - Gaborik was nowhere near game ready and was a non-factor against SJ (then again, who wasn't).

My point: this franchise has long left behind the losing mentality, I can't see them using injuries as an excuse.

Dustin Brown is HORRIBLE

Color me shocked - his 3 point night on Saturday was an anomaly, not a return to who he was 5-6 years ago. Happy to see him produce but wasn't expecting any type of resurection.

Hoping for a decent stretch - like a month or so - of solid play for him somewhere close to the deadline so he can be moved or somewhere near the end of the season so he perks some ears up in Vegas. He needs to go because of contract and skills. You can tell he is unhappy in LA now that he no longer has the C let alone an A, I think he feels slighted and the sooner he is gone the better.

Had my home group meeting and just got home, going to watch the replay - what am I looking for?
