When I said Stanford and Oregon were the best two teams, I meant of course other than Florida State, who to me is clearly number one despite their schedule.

A playoff doesn't ensure that the two best teams will be in the championship game. Upsets happen.

True, but it does assure the title will be won on the field. I would like to see an eight team tournament more than a four teamer, but it is what it is. In the theoretical eight teamer the champions of the big five conferences would qualify along with three at large bids.

I'm an Alabama fan, and I haven't thought they were one of the best two teams for most of this season. Auburn finally exposed them. Was Auburn somewhat lucky to win? Probably. Are they one of the best two teams? Probably not.

Saban botched that game badly imo.

if he wasn't a legend I think he takes much more heat for it

Agreed, and in recent interviews he hasn't taken ownership of it. He's still the man in college football, but his ego got in his way this time.

Totally agree. 4 and 1 on the 16 yard line and 3 points basically puts the game away and he goes for it. That sucky ass kicker could even made that FG.

FSU is good, but come on they have played no one with a defensive pulse all year and yes they blew out Clemson, but Clemson is vastly overrated. FSU isn't a juggernaut. They are a damn good team, but beatable for sure

No one has come close so far.

Michigan State should be in the National Championship. The best defense in the country. Meanwhile Auburn starts the season unranked and plays a lot of close games and pulls two wins out of their butts.

Stop. They lost to Tommy Rees.

They haven't played anyone and don't even tell me Clemson is good.

I'm not going to, but when you say "they're very beatable," I am just pointing out that they're winning their games by an average of 43 points or whatever it is.

You won't see me touting FSU's schedule anywhere, but they sure have taken care of business. More so than any other team in the nation this year. They've outscored their ranked opponents 200-35.
