These rankings are always so arbitrary, but fun to discuss. I'll note that I can't speak for all stadiums, but I can speak out on Franklin Field. There is no category besides age that Franklin Field is even in the top half of the stadiums I've been. It's honestly depressing to be there. The lack of relevant events, a failing facade, and a lonely surrounding has all but demolished what it once was. Although it may have been a wonderful site in its hayday, Franklin Field is a no more than a failing concrete tomb stone to the olden days of American football.

LMAO!!!

There is ONLY ONE College Football Stadium that has had these things happen in said Stadium...
1) Olympics
2) Super Bowls
3) World Series
4) Produced 2 Different College Football National Champions (USC and UCLA)
5) NFL Playoff games for 3 Different teams (Rams, Chargers and Raiders)
6) Have been home to 12 National Title Teams in College Football

I doubt ONE College Stadium could claim ONE of these accomplishments. Let alone all SIX...

BTW - Notre Dame won 3 NCs not playing in Notre Dame stadium...
utah hosted the winter olympics in salt lake

What event was held in the Stadium? And was the Opening and CLosing Ceremonies held in Rice Eccles Stadium?
per wikipedia
During the 2002 Winter Olympics, the stadium served as the venue for the Opening Ceremony on February 8, 2002, and for the Closing Ceremony on February 24, 2002. In order to host the ceremonies, the grass field was paved over with asphalt and a stage was constructed, scoreboards were removed, flags and Olympic livery were installed, temporary seating was brought in (allowing more than 50,000 spectators), and the 2002 Olympic cauldron was installed atop the southern bleachers. For the duration of the games, the stadium was temporary renamed the Rice-Eccles Olympic Stadium.

That sure doesnt not sound like a Football Stadium, you know they usually have grass and a scoreboard.

The Horseshoe would be nice if there weren't hundreds (maybe thousands) of seats that have obstructed views of the field. For that reason alone, it should never be on a list of great stadiums

You do realize Tulane Stadium is not the same place as where the Sugar Bowl is played Right?

Tulane Stadium was where the Saints used to play in the Outdoors...

This list is a fuckin joke. The Rose Bowl is the biggest dump in sports. UAB is better off at Legion Field.

I saying no Grass was torn up or scoreboards taken down when the Olympics came to the Coliseum. Maybe it was because the LA Express of the USFL had to play games before the Summer Game, though I doubt it as Soccer, T&F and a bunch of other events were played on the very Grass the Trojans, Express, Raiders played on and would play on. Hell when we had Monster Trucks shows they still didnt removed the grass, just put dirt over it.

I guess what I am saying is the Coliseum is better because when a Bigger Olympics came to town they did not have to Rip everything out and replace their natural Stadium with something else.
