The only people who usually care about bandwagon fans are those whose team sucks and they need the "at least I'm a real fan" card to feel better about themselves. Either that or they're fans that take the game and everything about it waaaaaay too seriously and can't understand why others don't devote the same amount of "pride" into the sport.

If you don't wanna read about how terrible -- and I mean absolutely terrible -- the Devils are playing, then don't.

Very few people are true blue, hard core fans 100% of the time. I mean, I always know what players are on my team, who they drafted and when they play. That said, if I know one of my teams is going to suck donkey balls, I'm not making sure I watch all 82 or 162 games in the season. I still will watch whenever I can and still go to games whenever I get a chance. I'm just not going to purposely make myself angry by watching every game of a 50 or 90 loss season either.

Besides, like Honus said, who really gives a shit. Sports are supposed to be about enjoyment, not a big dick contest.

i don't know if i'd call it fairweather either. i'm watching every game gone to several, i mainly just don't want to see their logo anywhere, not because i'm not interested, but because this season is that frustrating.
