allowed one keeper

who would you keep?
keeper league with 1 keeper.

I told the commish just let me forfeit my keeper and I'll choose a free agent.
He told me to pick Russel Wilson or gtfo, so I gtfo
is that how most keeper leagues work? I don't think so, but could be wrong.
my thoughts would be to keep david wilson, as he's projected starter for NYG, but I don't think i would waste a first round pick on him.

The point of your keeper league is to keep one player. If everyone did the same as u and didn't keep anyone, then what's the point of a keeper league? It would just be a redraft league.

generally everyone has a player worth a top 12 pick.

I picked McFadden last season, but not doing that again. my feeling is the league should be on a level playing field more or less. a free agent keeper should be allowed to facilitate that. Nobody has to rejoin every season, there has to be some incentive to keep playing.

first season, took over a team that was abandoned.
second season, kept McFadden and drafted last.
3rd season, was told to keep someone, opted for a free agent, was told I could f-off.
The league only uses 1 keeper. nobody gave up anything.

Well first off..if the rules say each team will keep one player, then keep one. Bottom line.

if the rules say anything about the keeper being optional, than your commish is a DB and I'd advise you to leave the league.

But I don't see why your having such an issue. ..between DThomas, McFadden, Russel Wilson and Kaepernick, you have strong keeper options (all would be above David Wilson IMHO). Pick one and go for it.

seems easier just to play another league and have a normal draft. you don't pick RW or CK as your first round option, they will be there in the 3rd or 4th. McFadden either has a bad year or gets hurt, keeping my distance from him after 2 years of that. D Thomas I love, but why keep someone you can probably draft in the 3rd? yep, time to move on from that league.

Kaeps and Wilson are good, but I am not sure I would keep either in a 1 keeper league.

I have always been a McFadden believer, but I am off that bandwagon now. I would take him in the 4th round, but not before. In addition to his well publicized injury history, his O-line is atrocious and QB play is just as bad. I think he will be somewhere between low end RB2 and high end FLEX. Not good enough to keep.

The choice comes down to D. Thomas and D. Wilson IMO. Thomas is the more valuable of the 2 players, but taking Wilson would not be a bad decision. He has a ton of upside and unless you are picking early, there is a good chance you miss on all the elite RBs.
