Because we are already light at corner with only four. I think that's a big reason Kiffin never goes to a dime defense because he doesn't want teams to expose BW Webb. It doesn't make any sense to have our lb's matched up with receivers because Kiffin would rather play a nickel defense instead of throwing another corner out there.

They are hoping J Ratt is going to come back and had to clear a spot for him.

In all honesty I'm hoping he is ready to come back. The better and deeper our D-line the more it helps this secondary.
If he isn't I can see them parting ways with him even before the season ends. This is his 3rd year he pretty much hasn't been on the field. Jerry holds guys too long .... but Even for the dumbest GM.... Would have to be the ok we give up moment
