Actually it is Suh's moms fault, which means his dad's fault. Had they had him a year later he would have left the Cornhuskers a year later when the rookie contracts were different. So maybe it is 2011's fault.

For the record I am not defending MM or Lewand as stated the kicking the can caused this... I just do not slam them for every mistake. However the ones that do never compliment any of the good moves.

Yeppers. Every single damn front office makes mistakes, some more than others. Look at some of Belichick's drafts over the last 5 years. not all sprinkles solely there. McCourty wasn't where he's at right now a couple years back while being used as a CB. He found his home at FS and blossomed. there's plenty of other draft picks or FA they've brought in that didn't pan out. Haynesworth anyone, even though they got him on the cheap. That was a dipshit move on their part, IMO.

Id compliment him if he were to resign. (Not re-resign, but resign. Im not even sure if "re-sign" is a word. But it's not what I want Mayhew to do.)

There was a time when I loved Sam Bradford. Because we had Suh thanks to him not wanting to play for us the year before. It musta been love,..... but it's over now.

without the hyphen it's two totally different words. always got to me when people used resign (quitting) for a player who actually re-signs with the team.

re-sign..... verb (used with object), verb (used without object)
1.
to sign again.
2.
to renew or extend a contract.

resign

VERB

  1. voluntarily leave a job or other position:
"he resigned from the government in protest at the policy"

I can't even believe I am the one trying to calm the waters here but assuming the time here is the same as back home it's not over yet guys. There is two hours to go here for a deal to be announced.

Hyphens make me uncomfortable.

Could be their usage, could be empowered feminists. Uncomfortable all the same.

I like Suh, but managment did the right thing this time.....Way too much money to spend on a player at DT. We got stuck with him and the pay scale when we drafted him. Suh wants to leave and management didn't tie our hands......We have money to put a TEAM together and not just overpaid stars.

Kudos to management this time.

If Suh goes to Miami that will clear up any doubt what his intentions were/are. Not winning. Not being close to home. Not coaches. Not teammates. Straight up money.

this is kind of sort of funny considering where it's coming from but Haynesworth is advising Suh o be careful of where he chooses to play next year. He actually made sense if you read the article

Albert Haynesworth warning to Ndamukong Suh: Grass isn't always greener

he said that the Detroit Lions' Ndamukong Suh should be wary that he doesn't meet the same fate as a free agent this off-season.

"I think, honestly, the difference between me and him is that I didn't want to leave the Titans. I wanted to stay because I was very close with (defensive line coach Jim Washburn), and it was just fun playing for him and to have the guys that I played with," Haynesworth said Wednesday, in a radio interview on ESPN Nashville. "The Titans, really, upper management really forced the hand of me moving. I think, with Suh, I don't think he really wants to stay, and I don't think the Lions want to keep him, either. It's going to be a little different, and what he's got to do is study and pick the right place and, hopefully, it works out."

Haynesworth, who played seven seasons for Washburn in Tennessee, said that if he were in Suh's shoes, he would play for whichever team Washburn is coaching next year.

"If I was Suh, I would wait and see what Coach Wash does, because if he stays with Wash, then Wash can get him into the Hall of Fame," Haynesworth said.

And if Suh goes elsewhere -- the Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Giants are among the rumored suitors -- Haynesworth said he needs to pay close attention to the type of defense and the coaching situation he's stepping into.

I think he's full of shit. The Lions now don't want to keep him? Riiiight. Maybe not keep him all while breaking the bank, but I guaran-damn-tee you the Lions want him to stay.

Fuck Haynesworth and his lazy ass.

what made sense to me is his comments on "make the right choice where you end up. coaches, personnel, scheme, how he would be utilized". the part "Lions don't really want him", do you really think I fell for that. Should Suh ask for some astronomical amount of money that the Lions aren't willing to pay, then no I don't think they'd sign Suh. just like Mayhew's comment of "not at any cost"

Every Lions Player I know (via social media) pretty much say the same things... its about Family. Most say God 1st, Family 2nd and everything else 3rd. Suh parents would find it kinda hard to be Snow Birds in Michigan, just sayin' but I don't doubt your reasoning.

Yep. NE rules that division. Miami won't be winning shit til Brady retires.
