I actually don't think that had anything to do with it. He only signed a 5 month deal to begin with. Lio is a weird dude that just won't commit to anywhere for long. Throughout his career, he's either signing short term deals or if he's in a longer one, he forces his way out (like retiring). He's got some kind of commitment and trust issues that I think stem from his rough upbringing as a kid where he had no stability.

I’ve never really seen any of his matches since I didn’t follow ROH closely. Is he a decent worker or more of a guy that just relies on the gimmick?
I’m surprised that the Briscoe’s haven’t shown up yet to continue their feud with FTR.

He can wrestle. I mean he's not some ring general but he's not just some dude that can only sloppily do the basics and is just a gimmick. His focus right now though is he's mostly a comedic wrestler/character. The best way to describe his character is imagine if Conan O'Brien was possessed by a demon and decided to be a professional wrestler. He's pretty funny if you're into that style of humor and he's hustled hard enough to amass a pretty big following. I doubt he'll be like Orange Cassidy, where they put him in big matches. That's not the best fit for his character. He's more of an act to sprinkle in the lower card of the show with some funny backstage segments, matches, etc.

Yeah, that's a pretty good comparison. Same kind of deal as Santino Marrella back in the day as well. Guys that actually can wrestle but instead are more used for comedy and entertaining segments.

I think it was because Kendrick asked for his privately (and it later got leaked) while Ali asked for his publicly. I've noticed that the people that ask privately tend to get theirs quicker. But if you go public with it, WWE tends to punish you by making you wait several months. You eventually get it, but you're gonna have to sit.
