I hope Georgia State enjoys playing football at the 24th best MLB stadium in the future.

Hopefully the new ball park will be a bit closer to the top next season.
I hope so too. Its closer to my house which is nice but you're also 30 minutes from downtown now which kinda sucks imo. In a way, I wish they would have waited and put the new stadium where the Georgia Dome currently is

Only been to Safeco, Petco and Tropicana, and I have to sadly admit that San Diego has the best stadium I've been in regardless of sport.

Man it's such Sox luck re The Cell (apt, as it's barely more fun than one) being the last new park before Camden Yards. And old Comiskey was awesome, as much old school legit charm as any of the others (Tiger, Yankee, Wrigley, Fenway). Replaceing it had to happen but couldn't it have been a better park?

I hate the city of Atlanta with a burning passion, and I live up around Talking Rock. Works out great for me.

It suits the Jerry Springer Guests of Baseball just fine.

There's really not a bad seat in the house. I go to 3 or 4 Rockies games every year. I'd go to more but Denver's a pain in the ass to get around due to the traffic.

Went to a few games again this year and I do like that stadium a lot. Great views, great food, not bad ticket prices.

I've ended up lately parking outside of the downtown area and taking the light rail in to the 16th street mall area to grab a bite before the game and walk a few blocks to the stadium and have to say that's the way to go for me.

However not being a die-hard fan, I do miss the pre-humidor games there during the roid era. From a purely entertainment factor, the Blake Street Bombers playing 12-10 games all the time was a lot of fun.

Only other stadiums I've been to was Joe Robbie for the Marlins (only nice part was got to watch a few games from Huizenga's box), and one in San Fran (gorgeous stadium there).

How does Wrigley consistently end up near the top of these lists? It's a falling apart shit-hole. There's no parking (and if you can find parking, in someone's yard, it's like 35 dollars). The concourses are like 7 feet wide, the entire stadium smells like pee. You piss in troughs with 32 other drunk people staring at your dong. The seats are about 9 inches wide with terrible sight-lines.

I get that it's "old and charming" but that doesn't make up for the fact that everything else about it is fucking terrible.

I bus it to Denver from here in Boulder for Rockies games. And good idea parking a few blocks from the stadium. Parking gets cheaper as you get away from the stadium.

I been to a few other stadiums over the years. Tribe games of course...Pittsburgh's, Cincy's, Detroit's, Toronto's & Arizona's.

When I was a kid/teenager, in the summers, my dad would listen to Cubs games during the day on WGN (we lived about 80-ish miles from Chicago) and Brewers games at night. I never got the fascination with Harry Caray. Dude always sounded 90% in the bag, could hardly enunciate, did a terrible job of actually describing what was going on, and mashed players names together all the time.

"Ryne Santo is up .....herflerppffff ............ THERE'S A SWING A ........ FLYBALL IT COULD BE......IT MAY BE.........and it's caught. by the shortstop"

Sounds like he taught Hawk Harrelson everything he knows.

One of my buddies grew up in Michigan, and said he'd always check Cubs games to see if Caray was doing the broadcast from the bleachers. Apparently those games were even worse. The color guy would be the only one allowed on the mic after like the 6th inning, because Caray was piss drunk.

If you don't get hammered at Wrigley, you're doing it wrong.

It's not a great bar either. (Harry didn't mind.)

So, the seats are tiny and everyone stares at your dong. Are you a fat guy with a micro peen?

I think the whole appeal of Caray was that he was always piss drunk.

Really enjoyed Coors field last summer

I think I'm going to be in Denver on business mid-late September and I'm thinking about catching one of the SDP/COL games. I'm thinking of just buying a cheap ticket and wandering around the park, maybe end up on that roof deck watching the game. Is that a good plan/bad plan? Any suggestions?

Might have to stop by the Ballpark Holistic Dispensary on my way to the game. . .

That's a great plan, there's not a bad seat in the house. The cheapest tickets are in the Rockpile. And probably the cheapest place to get tickets is @ King Soopers grocery store.

I'm pretty psyched about hitting Coors. It looks awesome, and it's been a while since I've been to a new park.

Have you been on the Roof Deck? Is that pretty cool?

Also, if I'm staying at a hotel and I buy weed at a dispensary, where am I allowed to smoke it?
