The bandwagon puker fans haven't showed up in 4 years or so.

Man. That story was atrocious. I remember the guy that got puked on was an off-duty cop, and the shitbag puked on him and his daughter. Honestly, I think that cop deserves a congressional medal of honor for demonstrating otherworldly restraint. I'd have shot that fuck right there in the park.

The worst I have ever been to was the old Joe Robbie Stadium in Miami. Went there for a Giants/Marlins game in 2007. Might have been 1,000 people in the whole place - including the concessions and ushers.

Yeah, that's always weird shit. Cleveland Municipal Stadium was the same, but the place was fucking huge. They built it in the hopes of attracting the Olympics, so it held like, 85k or some shit. Even if the Indians drew a crowd of 25k (which they didn't), the place would look empty.

Cleveland never did get the Olympics, but we did get the Gay Games a few years ago. Those dudes have really soft hands.

Give people enough alcohol, and the animal instincts take over.

Also, apparently the dude died a couple years ago.

Watching a baseball game in a closed roof and AC is weird.

I'm with you there. On the other hand, watching a game on what feels like the surface of the sun kind of sucks too.

You can't blame that on alcohol. Plenty of folks get absolutely shitfaced drunk - rarely do you hear of someone sticking their finger down their throat in an effort to throw up on a man and his daughter. The guy was a fucktard presumably raised by animals. His demise was just a matter of time.

I'm not "blaming" alcohol per se, as I certainly have spent my fair share of time in the "shitfaced drunk" end of the spectrum. But there's a lot of things that happen when you reach that state that don't happen when you're sober.

Still, that puking on someone is even in his list of viable options says a lot about the quality of the individual, for sure.

I dig Fenway. That's where I started to get into baseball when I was at school in Boston. I've seen quite a few games there and half of them were Yankees/Red Sox games, so the atmosphere was always banging. I love the history of it.
It wasn't horrible to me or anything. Maybe I just had unrealistic expectations.

The atmosphere was better when I went to old Yankee Stadium. I got called a cocksucker in my Alomar jersey like 40 more times than I did in Boston. That's an impressive tally.

Ownership really pissed the fan base off when they said "we'll spend money on the team when fans start coming to the park." Infinitely stupid thing to say. Then they traded away back-to-back Cy Young winners as well as fan favorite Victor Martinez (don't talk to me about the reality of those trades as I'm well aware, I'm just acknowledging the reality of the casual fan's reaction to them).

It's also likely one of the smallest markets in MLB. We don't even get all of Ohio - around Toledo, there's a mix of Tigers/Indians fans. To the east, you run into Pirates territory pretty quickly, and a couple hours south you start hitting the Reds.

During the summer, they've been drawing 30-40k on weekends and 15-25k during the week. That's not bad, but they need some sustained winning and some better PR to crank it up.

There's also the fact that we're all poor and live in trailer parks.
They should remove the right field bleachers and allow trailer parking. Shit would pop off.

Jays ownership did the whole "spend when the fans come" thing and got a similar backlash. Then AA went and made the Florida trade and for the most part Jays attendance has been in the top half of baseball and after last season they're tops in the AL.

If Cleveland can stem the blood loss and get back to winning I hope it picks up in September.

Metrodome sucked balls. It was like a giant, inflatable toilet.

I went there for a day game, and it happened to be the most perfect sunny, 70 degree day, and I walked into this giant shit hole with a giant trash bag for the right field wall. Made me want to go to the bathroom and slam my balls in a stall door.

I did get to see Johan Santana pitch, so that was cool. Otherwise, good riddance to that dump.
Kinda like Skydome. When the roof is open it's half-decent (at best) but when that fucker is closed it's a sweaty muggy dark dank fuckhole. When I was there for the Indians-Jays on July 1 I was going stir crazy by the 10th inning. I don't know how the hell anybody locked themselves in that dungeon for 18 innings of baseball.

*19 innings.

Damn, you were there for that marathon? I understand you left early. I would too. At a certain point, unless it's a playoff game, I'm going to leave because of the possibility of sticking around for hours just to watch a heartbreaking loss. I'd rather do that at a bar with cheaper drinks.

I would've stayed if the roof was open and we didn't have the significant others with us. It was a holiday and we were all starving so we went to a restaurant, ate, had a few post-meal drinks, checked the score and it was still the 15th inning.

It sucks to lose such a long game but at least it wasn't a playoff game like Nats-Giants a couple years back.

I really like PNC Park. Glad to see that ranked so highly.

I like the Jake also I thought it was a great baseball experience very underrated these days due to how long it has been around.

Just like old Municipal Stadium, Three Rivers were horrible to watch baseball in.
I remember the later years of Three Rivers you needed a tetanus shot before entering and the tarped over upper deck was a "nice" feature.

The Jake is pretty sweet and I think underrated (particularly in this list). I realize that I may be biased, but on the other hand, most people that go there from other places usually say they didn't realize how nice it is.

They've also made some really cool improvements -- particularly in the right field corner -- over the last couple years. The pic in this list is at least three years old.

The Corner is a two story bar and they've added concessions from a some of the top restaurants in Cleveland (and before you laugh, I'm a foodie and will tell you that Cleveland is a food town, we've got some world class restaurants and chefs).

Thought about going last Saturday while I was passing thru. But the As stink. And I really wanted to hurry up and sit in Toe-O-Ledo construction.

Real talk: the K is overrated on this list. I've been 4 times now and at no point have I ever felt like its a ballpark that should be seen by all or anything.

I hope Georgia State enjoys playing football at the 24th best MLB stadium in the future.

Hopefully the new ball park will be a bit closer to the top next season.
