I think Alfred will be seeing more playoff appearances and pro-bowls in his future, but is there any chance he surpasses his amazing rookie numbers anytime soon?

I disagree with an improved o-line and defenses not able to stack the line because of our receivers I believe he is in for a huge season

No. He won't get the touches to put up those numbers.

He could get the TDs, but not likely the yards.

One of my biggest beefs with the Shannahans is that they got way too cute inside the 10. Alf was often off the field, and when he was on it, he did not get the rock as often as he should have.

Morris is essentially built for short yardage situations and I expect Gruden to better use his talents on goal to go downs.

Agree 100%. In the red zone they sucked calling plays. Run the damn ball.

Unfortunately we didn't have to OLine to support power runs in the red zone. That's the downside to having a line built for zone read blocking. Your guys are agile and can get to the second level, but can't push anyone off the line. We will probably still have that same issue this year as our Center is still undersized and our left guard constantly gets manhandled by DTs.

Absolutley he can match those numbers. The entire key is the heath of RG3. If the option is at full force he will put up numbers

i can see the td's possibly 1600 is ALOT of yards, anyone who thinks its just gonna happen or he absolutely is gonna match those numbers seems a little homerish..........no offense

the league rushing leader is usually around 1600-1800
so your basically saying absolutely hes gonna be a top 2 back

He should have double digit TD's. We should be scoring a lot more points this season. So we should be ahead in a lot of games. Meaning more carries for Morris to waste clock. 1300 and 10 should be the target for Morris. Out of all the weapons this year who would you most want in fantasy football? I say RG3. Thoughts?

i think some of you guys dont get that matching his rookie numbers means he isnt doing as well .

i dont think he gets the touches to get 1600 yds plus . he could/should get the tds though

and wasnt his rookie year a "breakout " year ?

Yep - they didn't have anywhere near the receiving corps during that time (remember even Garcon either missed or played very little in many games that year) & certainly RG3 will not be asked to run as much. The expected offensive balance on this team should be very exciting.

I imagine if we return to 2012 form but with the defense to match....he'll have between 14-20 TDs. There were sooo many plays where he was gone and a defender managed to trip him up from behind. And as mentioned before...waaay too much PA in the red zone...i just wanna jump outta my seat and see him throw up the imaginary ball and swing for the fences.

It's hard to say the word breakout, when the man had 1,600+ yards. He's already established himself as an elite runner. Case in point, his name hasn't been called in the NFL's Top 100 players and we are at 40-31. It will be called, but to be within the top 50, opponents have noticed he is a legit RB. Now, back to the breakout thing. I believe Alfred will have between 1,200-1,300+ yards. I can't ask for more than that. If he surpasses that, fine.

Tell ya what I'd like to see. 1200 rushing yards and another 200 receiving yards. He would then me a multiple threat back and much more dangerous.

I do believe he is going to benefit greatly from the receiving set we have, not sure he'll ever see an 8 man front.
Also "if" he earns the trust of the coaching staff, I'm sure he'll get more targets. I know he has said he wants to be more involved in the passing game, but perhaps the previous and even the current coaching staff would like to make use of another back on passing/third down situations.
