I can’t see the point maybe we should ask mitz for some enlightenmentWhat sense does it make to play this out for two more seasons? Smith turns 35 on May 7th this year, a season that no one sees him playing. He turns 36, prior to attempting a return to form in the 2020 season. Unless the plan is to field another version of the "over the hill gang" then a lot of the guys currently on the team also won't be here. We will have a younger team who deserves a QB not facing the downside of a career, that, because of his cautious nature, limits the growth of the new guys.
The ONLY real move to make for this franchise, is asking Smith to "retire" (he won't) then paying him $40 million now and wishing him well. There's really no logical reason to drag this out over the next two seasons. Take the hit now and begin 2020 unburdened by a 22 Million cap hit on a player attempting a well documented risk averse comeback.

I think you need to reread the discussion . It has everything to do with the injury . It would be nice if some posters knew to stay in their lane and control whatThis is a thread about AS injury updates, not about your hundreds of opposition post of this trade. Plenty other threads for that.
It would be nice if we had a moderator who could keep his post relevant per his posted forum guidelines.

in my view its ok to run with itWhy would I “need to reread the discussion”, when I created the post? It was simple @skinsdad62, it’s about INJURY UPDATES to Alex, nothing more.
