Congrats to OV, but I have some mixed feelings. Don't wish to appear nationalistic like some a$$hole politicians around these parts, but MLB opened up the ***** Leagues stats, I always felt opening up WHL stats is long long overdue. Maybe Buttman would stroke out.

Really great celebration tonight and a much needed win after a terrible start.

The ceremony was really nicely done. I have to say the best part was the Mites on Ice (the really little guys that play a 3-minute game before the Zamboni comes out inbetween periods). After their game they all raced to one end of the ice and did an OV slide just like after OV broke the record. Very cute.

No Rolls Royce for OV. He’s still going to have to angle to be picked last at the next All Star game to get that car.

I was kind of surprised on Sunday that the league did not gift him with a Dodge Neon or something after he broke the record.
