Inexcusable implosion defensively and pitching in the 7th. Not that theyd win the next game anyway, but still a joke

This team is just gutless, theyve proved it 3 years in a row. If they arent red hot and sweeping teams away, they fold like a tent.

Precisely. Every year offenses look lame in the playoffs, because the pitchers are all good and the pen means you never see a guy more than twice.

This is how a team like the Giants can win 3 outta 5, their lineup wasn't much but in the playoffs their dominant pitching was what mattered.

That's why the Astros and Brewers are looking the most formidable right now.

And it looks now like the Astros are going to have some time off before the LCS commences.

It's not just Donaldson. Alonso and Kipnis have been just as worthless at the plate and they only have two hitters with an OPS north of .500 this series. The Indians have a .306 OPS (not including today's game) as a team in the first two games. They've been dreadful.
To be fair, they are facing the best pitching staff in MLB.

Maybe that has something to do with it.:noidea:

The last 3 playoffs this team has forgotten how to hit, pitch and play defense at the worst of times. Against the Cubs, Yankees and now the Astros. Yea the Astros are good but its pathetic how awful and hack the Indians look. I didnt think we'd win this series, but this game is embarrassing. Lucky its only 4-2 could be a lot more out of control.

Francona's Tribe teams have only operated well in postseason when on cruise control and rolling teams (Red sox & Blue Jays in 06) ANY sign of adversity like with Cubs, Yankees, Astros and they guilelessly fold like lawn chairs

I think the Astros having to fight off Oakland, and to an extent, Seattle throughout the season has them better prepared for the postseason. The AL central almost being historically terrible meant Cleveland played a shit ton of no-pressure games.

The only thing worse than this game is the disgusting amount of virtue signaling going on twitter about Chief Wahoo

The Astros are just a better team period. Regardless of the crappy AL Central competition. This Indians team is one of the most mediocre 90+ win teams you'll ever see.

Ehh I wouldn’t put them in that category based on them having the 4th best run differential in baseball. Seattle was one win away from 90 with a -34 differential.

Well the run differential you gotta factor in the Indians played a lot of games against the other 4 crap teams in the division.

Tigers/White Sox/Royals were all -100+

I know but good teams still beat bad teams, and the Indians proved they can beat the teams they should beat. Which is easier said than done.
