Indians didnt have to stress or play hard all year because of the division they were in and it showed. They are a much better team than this but Its hard to flip that switch and turn it up.

Have you watched the Indians in the playoffs the past 3 years? Blow a 3-1 lead in 16 WS, Blow a 2-0 lead in 17 ALDS. Look like a minor league team in 18 ALDS. I wont exactly call this year a "choke" cause the Astro's were favored anyway, but this pathetic performance in game 3 is nothing short of gutless. These teams are choke artists who fold whenever things even remotely start getting pressure packed.

Or maybe it was becauase their opponents didn't play well early in the series but finally played at their capabilities later on? I think the bigger issue is you're not giving enough credit to their opponents, considering you thought the Yankees weren't dangerous last year (awful analysis considering they nearly made the WS).

Maybe they weren't the better/hotter team?

-Indians were clearly the underdog in the 2016 WS
-Yankees were red hot going into the playoffs in 2017 (played .700+ ball the final month of the season)
-Astros are clearly better this year


Like I said, maybe you're just underestimating their opponents and not giving them enough credit?
