We DO need a win. The fans are already starting to pick things apart. I can't believe I'm hearing some call for RG3 to be benched. Holy Crap! How fickle are some fans.

We get a win and everything will be alright.

Well at 0-3, some one needs to be benched or fired or something. We are giving up 500 yards per game, we have ONE offensive TD in the first half of three games.

IM calling the loss to Oakland now.

Our defense just plain is terrible. The scheme sucks and we have 9 guys out there that couldn't tackle a grandmother. I agree, there needs to be a serious shake up to wake some guys up. I never thought I'd say this, but maybe Madieu wasn't the worst player on our defense last year.

Play should have been ruled a TD. He caught the ball, took a step and the ball broke the plain of the goal line, TD. Once the football broke the plain of the goal line, imo it's a TD.

You see TD catches all the time where a guy catches the ball at the goal line, then reaches out having the ball break the plain and it get's knocked out be a defender. Guess what, it's a TD. The play is over once the ball breaks the plain. I still don't understand that call. :gaah:

Or he reaches over the goal line and the ball comes loose when it hits the ground. TD. I also agree, He caught the ball on the 3 pulled it in and took a step before breaking the plane. It should have been a TD, but it shouldn't have been close.

Nah. I thought so at first but in looking again believe that he fumbled. It is the Calvin Johnson rule where he needs to keep possession throughout.

Anyhow - you can't put this one on the refs. Redskins beat themselves. RG3 making a silly fumble since he didn't slide the correct way (which he should have been working on a lot during the offseason), RG3 throwing a silly pick in trying to do too much, defense always falling short during crunch time, team making numerous mistakes, etc.

Look at the play after the overturned TD. They make a stupid mistake resulting in a fumble & a 3rd & forever situation. The result is a punt. Ridiculous.

It would be bad but I could accept defeats where the team didn't beat themselves & left it all out on the field. That has been far from the case during the last three weeks.

Mike Shanahan doesn't agree with you & stated as much at his press conference today.

Mike Shanahan's comment on the play was a smug response to what he thought was a catch. He didn't want to get "caught up" in finger pointing at the refs giving Goodell a chance to fine him or whatever. I guess if it was a player he had more respect for then he would have stood up for him or the play a little bit more. In any case, once the ball breaks the plane of the goal line, it's a TD. AR took a full step after catching the ball and crossed the goal line, TD imo.

Shanahan would also not agree with me that Haslett should be fired or that our personnel on defense mandates we should be playing a 4-3 scheme, not the sorry ass 3-4 scheme we are in. Shanahan will also not agree that he and his Son have now conformed to RG3's Father's request that his Son should throw more and run less but they have. Well, the offensive line Shanahan put together can not pocket protect RG3 worth a darn as the unit was not assembled to do so. How many times was Montgomery at RG3's feet on Sunday? Look, Shanahan has to realize this circus he has put together has become a complete mess and it all started with himself putting RG3 back into an NFL game while he was hurt. I don't care if Griffin was on his knees begging the coach to put him in, it should have never happened and that is the ultimate responsibility of the head coach, and absolutely no one else.

He wore out his welcome in Denver and has just about done the same here in DC!

Wow quite a reply. I can agree with you about Shanahan on some of your other issues. However - cmon - no coach is going to keep quiet if he truly believes the refs screwed up & possibly cost him a game. Someone like Shanahan could probably even care less about Goodell & any fines. You need to think with your head on this one. It was not a catch. Robinson needs to do a better job.

As for one of your other items - show me proof that RG3 was/is still hurt. Again - there are mental & other issues that take time & are part of the recovery process. This will work itself out. Let's move on. So - since you apparently want to dump the entire coaching staff (which is also a huge part of the front office) who are you going to bring in to run the show?

Let's all calm down just a bit.
