Texas has a 1-0 series lead and will have Eovaldi and Scherzer starting games 2 & 3. Series momentum heavily favors Texas at this point.

Don't get carried away it's game 1 of a long series, and baseball is still random game to game. Even in the NBA you don't want to overreact to it.

That said, obviously a good idea to win game 1. This series is now at least a tossup for Texas

Things can definitely change quickly, but taking game one is huge and the pitching matchups in games 2 & 3 favors Texas, so I'm pretty darn excited. Also, this year Houston - though still really good - has dropped off a decent bit from last year so they are not borderline unbeatable anymore...

Tonight's game is a tossup. In the matchups, Scherzer beat HOU in June with a 4-hitter but got blown out at TEX in September. On the other hand, Javier got blown out in TEX in July. But TEX has the momentum (2-0) plus they're at home.

I can’t stand to see catchers on the knee with a runners on but especially when there’s a runner on 3B. If he’s in the crouch ready to play baseball, he can smother that ball. Instead the ball spikes in the dirt and plays him. Bad fundamental baseball.
